Anyone here play the guitar?

That is weird. I almost posted this exact topic this morning.
In any case, here is a site that has some songs you can learn.
www.harmony-central.com
click on tablature and then you will be able to type in song names or artist to look up. I am not sure about sites for beginners, but if you know any chords, you can benefit there.
I have a old 1959 Gibson acoustic that sounds awesome......Would like to get a 12 string b/c they sounds sweet.......

I play. How new are you to guitar? If you just picked it up, I highly recommend getting a buddy to show you some stuff, or pay for a handful of lessons.

Right now, you don't really need that many lessons anyways. You need to learn basic chords and practice changing from chord to chord. Basic chord movements, like I-IV-V progressions and whatnot. Basic scales like minor pentatonic and major pentatonic.

And then just do those over and over and over. All what I just said could be covered in one half hour lesson, or a buddy of yours could show you over a weekend. The reason I would recommend a person is because they will see how your hand placement is, etc., and can help you immediately. Don't get into bad habits at the beginning.

After you have learned these basics, then you can go get more lessons. Otherwise, you will just spend half the lesson changing from one chord to the next. Waste of money at that point in your learning.

Thanks, I have a Hamer. I almost got a black les paul gibson, but decided against it since everybody seems to have one...and now I want one, lol. Damn, those things are sweet. Heavy, but sweet.

I would love to get a chance to be on stage with a band. You must have some interesting touring stories to tell.
