Anyone here have a pet Ferret or two?

I'm considering getting a ferret or two. I'm leaning towards getting one, and do realize that it will require more attention than if it had a playmate. I'm home quite a bit, so it's not a problem for me to have him/her out of the cage to play. Heck, after getting him/her potty trained, I'll probably just make sure 100% there are no dangers, and let 'em have free roam of a couple rooms.

For owners, would you reccomend going with one or two? What kind of play pen/sleeping station do you have for him/her? Did you build their house yourself? Are they able to get along with other animals at all?

I have been looking into it myself. I have located a couple breeders in canada, the best seem to be in ontario.

It's probally best to make sure you get them from a respected breeder.

There are some forums on ferrets, i will have to look it up and get back to you guys.

yes, Karde wants a ferret, (or two?? ack!) I want a cat. They're supposed to get along well, so long as you introduce them when the cat is still a kitten. They won't get along if the cat won't feel like playing with the ferret.

I'm ok with this, Karde, I just know my mom is never going to visit us again. And, I'm worried it's going to smell weird.
