Anyone here ever fast, do a candida or colon cleanse?

I doubt many on here fast. BBing and fasting don't usually go together, although it can be very healthy if done properly. Not sure about the colon cleanse.

you mean you've never done a colon or cleanse before. Wow. I know someone at the gym that lost 25 pounds after doing 2 colon cleanses and a candida cleanse. His hair even started growing back

I may mis-spell this term .... colonoscapy. This is once a year internal examination that is paid for by health plans. You take a liquid for two days prior to the exam that really cleans you out. Then the Docs put you in a twilight sleep and look deep inside.

Seems it would accomplish the cleansing and be under a Doc's supervision.

I've done water only fasts .... went 4 days once. Didn't get much out of it because the body shuts down and tries to preserve fat.

gonelifting tried something like this. I've tons of literature that claims it's all one huge scam and does nothing

Well, I once drank a whole bottle of Exlax one night and what a rush the next morning. At least it was the weekend. Man, did I feel clean and refreshed after though; no sluggishness or fatigue, and much more alert and it felt like I had a new body.

But drinking lots of water immediately after is a must!!

There's a site called quackery.com or healthquackery.com I believe. Anway, from what I remember it said that colon cleansing does not work.

millions colon cleanse everyday and yes it does work

How does it work? Elaborate please. :)

try a southern comfort colonic... i guarantee you will never forget it.

on a serious note...not sure of it's value however you do tend to store things intestinally because of a poor diet. Do you feel particularly nloated or otherwise uncomfortable?

That's what I thought and I heard about a recent study today on the radio that vitamins are toxic in high levels. The proof is coming in. I guess the saying, "Too much of anything is not good for you" is mostly true.

or "A little of something is better than a lot of nothing" or something like that.

I've done a liver flush, not a colon cleanse, but I'm sure it feels the same way... in the end. lol

The liver flush gets out little stones. It's recently been discussed here in detail.

I've done a fast before for about a week. It was definately not done right, I had no idea what I was doing. I felt sick, so I just stopped eating foods except for a tiny amount of fruit for a week. This was many years ago. Felt slightly better, lost a lot of weight, of course. Stupid? Yes. Ehh, that's me.
