Anyone have an LCD or DLP TV?

I've been shopping a bit and need some feedback if you own one. Which is better? Do you think it was worth the $$$? What are some things I should look for? the guys at Best Buy are fuggin' tards that try to sell me on a $4,500 model and have no idea why I should get it.

We have LCD at my house. Get high definition cable and it looks amazing. Ours is a 32" Samsung that was about $1400 I think. Not sure on the price.

I've looked at those. Samsung and Sharp seem to have the best picture quality. 1400 seems like a good deal. Is that a flat panel?

Yessir. It was the clearest of the ones there. Good picture quality but you have to pay $10 more per month for HD cable. And the installation fees.

i just got a 50 inch samsung dlp tv. its awesome. great for dvd movies. it cost $2500 at circuit city. when i was shopping, i was looking for dlp, plasma or lcd, and i found that dlp is the best to get if you do not want to hang it on the wall. dlp are too big to hang on the wall. its smaller than a rear projection tv, but larger than a plasma or lcd, so as long as you don't want to hang it on the wall, dlp is the best bet for quality and price

I have an LCD, a DLP and 2 plasma sets. The plasmas are the superior product - not the EDTV plasma (I gave mine to the folks) but the HDTV plasma.

DLP - Best picture for the price...Samsung is the way to go..

i have a rather large hd plasma.... my buddy just got a new 42 in lcd though that has an insanely good picture, better than mine... don't know if lcd is supposed to be sharper but his is sharper than my plasma

Thanks kids. The guy last night said the LCD is better for games, so I might get a smaller one for downstairs and my ps2. MTS, how is the plasma the superior product? Do you mean this by the quality of the product or the picture?



l money, how the fuck did you get that tv for 2500? I may have to call bullshit unless it was a fuggin' zenith knock off you got at a flea market.
