Anyone have a geothermal heat pump?

I've been toying with the idea of going solar but the PV panels are wildly expensive even with tax rebates etc.

30% federal rebate on geothermal heat pumps but I can't seem to find any real numbers on how well they work.

BTW solar water heating in SC does work on a 3-4 year pay back period. Other states, depends on if your state kicks in some money.

I'm trying to hedge inflation with this stuff.

There has been a shit ton of news articles on this. I believe Money magazine had some cost/benefit analysis on it as well.
