I like Vin Diesel. I am actually glad that him, and The Rock came along. Let's face it, in the late 90s/00 the whole action star thing went dead. Arnold, Sly, Seagal, and Vandamm were replaced with teens who had a six pack, and not much else. I love Arnold, and there will never be another like him. Vin, and The Rock couldn't hold a candle to him. But I would rather see some muscle back in Hollywood than keep seeing Arnie, and Sly pump out action flicks until they are 65. So, I say bring on The Rock, Vin and even Wesley Snipes. It's a new era of action stars, and I for one welcome it.
Oh, and as for this movie, Triple X, I plan on seeing it. People here are quick to hate. Sure it won't be the best movie of all time, but movies like this aren't suppose to be oscar winners. They are fun movies, movies you go to have a good time on a friday night. Don't some of us still know how to do that, have fun?

Vin can act, he does pretty good in Boiler Room. He just needs to get away from the MTV generation movies.

Yes, Boiler Room did prove he could do more than flex and grunt in a movie. It's ashame movies like that won't make you a big star. Another movie that he actually acts in, is Knockaround Guys. That was filmed about 3 years ago, and has yet to be released. Now that one of the actors in the movie is a star, they are planning on releasing it soon. So, I suppose he gave up on doing more serious acting work, in order to get fame. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I think if you just want to unplug and enjoy a lightly plotted movie with lots of explosions and tricked out cars, then it's worth a viewing.
But I'll wait until it's out on DVD. I'm just not a big enough fan of the crowd that his movies attract.
