Anyone from Denver? I need info on..

AAP

Plat Hero
Platinum
The University of Colorado Hospital and the Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center.

I have to visit these two this weekend and it may be my biggest commission check to date.

I am wondering... (I have all the clinical data already) but are they "nice" on the inside? You know some hospitals look like shit or a dump. What is traffic like in the general area? hard to get in and out of? (One of the doctors I may send to work there is wondering)

Where that sista at? If I get this one, I will be sitting pretty for the rest of the year.

i used to live in boulder, but i was never at any hospital, only the student health center at CU. it's amazing there, if you like the outdoors. you should do some white water rafting if you're gonna be in colorado. i used to go to some place outside of colorado springs. god, i miss that area.

I won't be there long enough to do any leisure type activities. I am more interested in what to tell doctors about the general area of the hospital. Some of them are coming from NYC where the traffic is a nightmare and they want to avoid that.

St Luke's is a pretty nice facility. Saw a sports medicine doc there about a year ago. It's near downtown so the parking can be a bit hard to find if you're a non-emergent patient, but they offer valet service. If they're worried about traffic being as bad as NYC, it won't be. We have our own traffic headaches, but the big ones are mostly limited to interstate routes that run through the city (I-25 through Denver and I-70 north of Denver).

The neighborhood is pretty diverse ... a mixture of professionals, low to mid income black families, students, and young families. I like that particular area of Denver ... my wife and I shopped for houses there. Plus ... it's Denver. It's a great city. Big enough to provide culture and stuff. But small enough to get around easily. The proximity to the mountains is cool, too.

Don't know nuthin' about CU Hospital.

Ass,

what is it that you do?

I bring in teams of specialty docs (i.e. radiologists, cardiologists, anthes, trauma docs, ER, etc...) to boost their staff.

I get 1% commission on the annual total for the entire doctor team. Since this is a very large team going in (14 docs) the annual total would be 8.4 million per year. I get 1% of that amount as my commission.

They will stay there for three years (but I only get a one time fee) and after the 3 years, if they renegoiate and/or renew the contract with my company again, I get another 1% of whatever the annual contract is worth.

I will suck some dick to get this one. Usually my commissions are between $12K - $40K. The highest (for me at least) is $51K so far.

Business. Where I went was many colleges.. Emory, Oglethorpe, Dekalb.... but I ended up graduating from GA STATE. Although I did most of my time 2+ years at Emory. It was at the end that I started attended part time at night and had to go where the classes I needed were offered at that time. I once went to Dekalb and GA STATE both the same semester.

busy area..not as bad as Ny...the traffic is busy especially around rush hour and noon.
UCH is rated on of the best hospitals for med specialties. top docs for aids, cardiac and cancer care. i have a friend who works there. your not smack in the middle of down town, but 10 min away.
