Anyone ever wax their chest?

Ok, I am going to rehab at the hard rock this weekend...so I got my chest waxed. Talk about some painful shit...seriously just like 40 year old virgin. Anyway, I have all these little zit looking things all over the place now and it's really red and irritated looking, not to mention I have bacne like crazy...kind of sucks working to get a good body for the pool and not being able to show it. Any quick ideas of how to tame this? I have....1 more day. Thanks!

Rub some AIFM on it!

That is some funny shit, I bet they were laughing their asses off at the hair removal center......................you killed me and it is only 6 am.
Good luck with this one brother.

Nair did the same shit to me. Little bump zit looking things everywhere. Went away eventually, I'm talkin weeks though.

i do my back all the time (not too hairy though, just longer hair from shaving like an idiot when i was younger).

anyway, the irritation is normal and takes a long time to go away IF:
1.) you showered/tanned within 24 hours of the waxing - dont in the future
2.) the wax was too hot and the irritation is tiny burns - pretty common

nothing will remove the little red dots but time. if the 2 instances above didnt happen you should be ok in 4 to 5 days. i have had the rocky mountains form on my back in certain situations and the shit lasted 3 weeks. this is when i realized not to shower and have the wax temperature lower.

i just waxed on tuesday and i can take my shirt off at the pool/beach today.

Yep, takes weeks to go away. As far as the bacne, loofa the shit out of your back in the shower with soap until your back actually squeaks, then rub alcohol on your whole back. should start to clear within a week.

I'm lucky in that department; since i'm not hairy at all; the hair that i have on my chest is very light so that my chest and abs still show.

For a long term solution for this: use laser hair removal

Do a search on Laser Hair removal. you will find that noone has really had good luck with it. and it is super expensive

the issue with nair is if you leave it on too long... it is a pretty nasty chemical and if you exceed the maximum time noted on the bottle you WILL have chemical burns...

normally i use the express nair stuff... put that on for 4 minutes, then get in the shower rinse off then shave... it decreases the post shave bumps and makes shaving a lot easier... also i wait quite a while between shaves, when i used to do it more regularly i could just shave every 3-5 days and never get any razor burn anyway

I don't have skin problems but my old w/o partner had bad bacne he cured by washing the effected area with nizoral shampoo.

I tryed waxing one time ......my wife pulled the first cloth off on my stomach and i said FUCK THAT........i will just continue to shave........PAINful shit :worried:

im telling you, i have my back done 6 to 7 times a year. it is painful BUT if you figure out what is causing your skin irritation and avoid it, you will have no problems. it is painful though. my wife does it and she figured out the high temperature and shower thing for me.

my wife gets a brazilian wax: the ass, lips and all of it and she never breaks out or is irritated. she's been going to the same lady for years.

I have my back and upper arms done regularly. I usually do my chest once or twice per year.
I can tell everyone that it makes a huge difference in the pain with the experience of the person doing it. I have used 2 different women at the place that I go...One has a soft touch and it does not really hurt bad at all...The other does not hold the skin down as tightly and that shit hurts.
Each one gives a rubdown with some kind of lotion and I only have any kind of bumps for maybe a day or two.
Try a high priced studio like Merle norman or something similar. It might make a difference for you.
