People of simple means often are challenged in life and will either rise to the occasion and make something of them self.. or will succumb to the stereo type, just like many people that allow themselves to be pigeon holed into a description.

LOL at you living in thibodaux now thats funny

It was so tough when I was a MO, when you were outside playing and mom yelled "lunch time!" you'd start running.

If you tripped it was too late, just as soon go back to playing :(

yup

I have relatives who live in them and my granny had a prefab home.

lived in a 26ft travel trailer for 22 months in college. talk about white trash central.

not even close. I've never been in one either.

not far from my house, there is a lake in the mountains- surrounded by some pastures and then woods. It's really beautiful. All around the lake are trailers that I guess are permanent. Some have porches or added rooms. I'm so curious about what it's like in them. Some are more like campers than trailers. It looks kind of cool in a strange way, although many of them have piles of wood outside so I guess they have wood burning stoves to keep warm? There are chimneys. I wonder how cold it gets inside them in the winter here. I can't even imagine.

its gets pretty fucking cold, and im in central texas. i dont know of any trailers or campers that have chimneys. I do know the central AC unit sits on the roof and can be mistaken for a chimney. I had AC and heat but the heat ran off propane bottles that had to be filled and i never did that so i just used those space heaters.

No I have not ever lived in one. Always apartments, condo, and now the house.

However, I will add that I don't see what societies problem is with trailor parks or the people that reside in them. fucking assholes, they pay to live there, they pay there way..Is it not better than living on the street or in a homeless shelter?

Some people can be the most judgmental sons of bitches and not even know why, only to follow with how everyone else perceives things!

no, there are metal chimneys that come out of them. I'm north- and it gets COLD and super snowy. between being in a camper/trailer (i don't know what they are. actually... i think there are both there), and being on a lake in winter in the north mountains... it must be so cold. Except for the fact that they are surrounded by other trailers, it looks cool to be so remote and living simply.

it does has its advantages. like $225/mo all bills paid, start a campfire behind your trailer anytime, out in nature, easy access to drugs. yeah, advantages. but the troubles outweigh the good easily, especially if youre from a city.

i lived in one for 16 years...ghetto fabulous!!!! then moved on up and into a house in detroit..then to fort lauderdle in another tailer park for 3 years.. i love them!!! i loved me some hoodrats

i've worked with a few bros who lived in travel trailers, but they were high end luxury style.
fold out walls, big screen, blahblahblah...not a bad way to live, costly though with the dually to pull it

I never lived in one but I have a bad ass camper with slide outs that I pull to various remote locations/beaches every other weekend.
shower
stove
outside BBQ
furnace
heated matress
A/C
Stereo with indoor and outdoor speakers
we refuse to put a television in it though.

its nice to get out of the city of 5 million people.

in la - the trailer home communities are actually really nice, affordable, and very safe. Lots of old people buy them, they're like littl homes with gardens, driveays, sidewalks, gated communities, etc.

Way different then trailer parks of poor areas.
