anyone ever get laser hair removal?

Hi,

I have had laser hair removal done on my armpits, it was $29CDN a session, I did 7 sessions in total, each spaced 6 weeks apart, and now I dont ever have to shave my armpits. Best investment ever!! It works best on darker hair, will take away the visable hair, but will still leave behind the very fine, light baby fuzz hair. As far as pain goes, it kind of felt like being snapped with a tiny little elastic band, and I never took any kind of pain cream. I definitely plan on getting more done! I found the most dramatic results were after the first session, but it takes a few weeks to notice that the hair hasnt grown back. Hope this helps

A friend of mine had this done on the back of his neck a few years ago. And it has not grown back at all. So i guess it works really good.

I am sure there are a lot of variables, but even though I have a very hairy back, and I would have no problem paying $10,000 to get the hair on my back removed permanently, the procedure was just too painful on me. The one time I tried it I only lasted 5 minutes. I would not go through that pain half a dozen times even if I was 100% certain the hair would be removed. And I have a lot less than 100% confidence in the word of the typical med-spa person.

I am getting my back and neck done starting next week and every 11 weeks there after, the newer systems only take about 30 min to do the whole area and dont hurt like the older systems. I will keep you guys informed oh and it was about $1,500 bucks for 5 treatments and they say it will never grow back...

It helps with the amount of regrowth but I've never seen lazer hair removal that actually was PERMANENT. I've done my body a few times and I notice there are some welcome bald spots but not overall great results. ...and my cousin has been getting lazer treatments for years. That right there says it all..its not supposed to be like a wax job..

I've had treatments and I'll say first hand: the results are NOT permanent. Anyone guaranteeing results is full of it.
As your hormones change, you grow more/less hair. If you're low on hormones, have treatments, and then start changing your body chemicals all bets are off...
It definitely thins hairs and stunts growth, but does not permanently make you baby ass smooth.

While laser hair removal has gotten a lot better over the years, electrolysis is still the only permanent hair removal system. The bad thing about that, is that is can take upwards a year or two to kill all of the hair follicles. Electro is about 1/2 the cost of a laser treatment, too.
