that our congress right now is deabting steroid use amongst professional mega rich athletes while the FBI just released is possible terror scenarios...

I know this is a board of weight lifters and gear users..that aside do you really see steroids as an epidemic among our children (robbing and steling from theri parents to get some tren??) last time i looked not one single death was caused by AAS why arent they this vigilent against X and other stupid ass drugs that you can literally die from???

hers a list of the possible terror scenarios..they should add to the list that Al Qaeda may flood teh US with iranian test amps since they do test out around 333mg/ml awhile back

According to the Times, they include:

_Blowing up a chlorine tank, killing 17,500 people and injuring more than 100,000.

_Spreading pneumonic plague in the bathrooms of an airport, sports arena and train station, killing 2,500 and sickening 8,000 worldwide.

_Infecting cattle with foot and mouth disease in several places, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in losses.

But a nuclear bomb, an exploding liquid chlorine tank or a widespread and prolonged aerosol anthrax spray ranked among the most devastating attacks outlined in the report, Roehrkasse said.

An estimated 350,000 people could be exposed to an anthrax attack by terrorists spraying the biological weapon from a truck driving through five cities over two weeks, according to the report. An estimated 13,200 people could die.

The report also includes scenarios of natural disasters to hit major cities, including a 7.2 magnitude earthquake and a Category 5 hurricane.

kb, quick question:

for your 2007 harness pull contest against scotsman,

will you be allowed to use any motorized devices to help
you generate more force?

Brotha I can't stand politics...
The lengths that these career politicians will go to have something put on thier resume. No further gain then that. This ain't about keeping kids safe. That's just a front for all this politics.

yes very ticked off

thats always a possiblity since we will never be 100% sure of what they "may" be planning..

but then again if something happened and they never told the public but said after the fact that they knew something along those lines was going to happen people would be up in arms..its a double edged sword and im not sure where i am on that issue

have you ever seen a 300-pound man in a skirt try and perform a harness pull while on roofies?

Ya, I'm ticked...that they are focused on the wrong things.

Example:

I got a speeding ticket the other day for fuckin 64 in a 55....

wtf???

I asked the guy if he didn't have anything better to do, not like we have a drug problem, gangs, or some other fuckin thing that deserves our tax dollars support.

In fact, pulling people for that probably costs more gas than its worth, not to mention the cops time.

This is where I put MLB's focus on steriods. They have taken steps to resolve it, move on..

If youre buying steroids or any drug you are supporting terrorism, thats where the money goes, youre contributing to the cause

I just don't get where they're coming up with this shit and why it warrants a Congressional hearing. Why isn't Robert Downey Jr. going up there for coke, or Nicloe Ritcie for heroin? I'm sure it's happened on a very small scale, but I doubt there are any gang related deaths from fighting over gear territories. You may beat your grandmother to death to steal and then sell her fake silver picture frame for crack, but for the love of god, don't hit that ball out of the park.

They only print this shit to scare Americans. Scared Americans = easy to control, no questions asked. It's all bullshit.

Yeah, I guess when I go to Mexico and legally buy my stuff from the pharmacy down there they are taking the money and giving it right over to the muslims to wage terrorism here in the US. Give me a fucking break.

I knew you had something to do with it. Those beady, yet swirly eyes are a dead giveaway.

obviously not in every case but dont be egocentric. Drug money finances terrorism world wide, maybe not roids but if you think that drug money doesnt then you should do some reading on the issue

I'm more pissed about how ridiculous it is that they are just calling in people based on one (semi-retarded) ex ball player and pure hearsay. it's a witch hunt. shit, they called in fucking Curt Schilling - why?! Cause he is outspoken. They are hunting for drama and opinions. It's a disgrace.

i wanna know where all these kids ae dying?
i think the players did a good job but Palmeiro made a statement saying "peopl die everyday from steroids"

to my knowledge not 1 death has been caused by steroids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its just more myths that have been put out there for the public/congress to latch onto

I forgot to mention how ridiculous it is to have the parents of children who used steroids and killed themselves speak at this thing. WTF? They are blatantly painting a dramatic picture and using different methods to do this. What the fuck kind of justice system acts like that? Sit down in a goddamn room with no cameras, no crying parents, no random players and analyze fucking facts for god's sake!

have a thought-instead of blaming steroids how bout we blame the fucking parents who are just oblivious to their kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if your kid killed himself he had to show signs of depression, isolation etc..lets not blame what caused that to occur but how do you not F'in notice!!!!!!! it doesnt matter if it was dbol that caused it you talk to your kid you find out you see if hes using ANY drugs..you talk you get him help you dont just let him be to work it out on his own..to me that is someone who is a horrible parent and is now blaming something other than himself for his kids problems!!!!!!

LOL while the thought is appealing at first, I'd rather just send nasty letters to all the idiots in Congress who thought it was a good idea to subpoena baseball players for this CRITICAL investigation.

Can we get a list of the people to whom they are testifying and the transcript? I hope Chris van Hollen isn't on that list.

Do you think Kwesi Mfume would be having any of this?

If that's such a concern why not regulate it rather than ban it outright? huh?

surely rec drugs have ties to terrorists-but not every drug dealer is linked to terrorism

as far as steroids go youre saying thna that some people who post on this very board have ties to terrorism? so its all a conspiracy that your friendly UG lab with a great price on some tren is really kicking back 10% to bin laden??? lol

Obviously I agree with your general argument Wnt2bbeast.

Frankly this parental form of governance is pathetic. Which is why Im a republican

Do away with the FDA altogether, and get government out of its role as a second parental unit to the citizenry. Freaking liberals can't run their own lives but wish to control every decision of everyone else.

That said...

As a county we are capable of doing more than one thing at the same time. Claiming some sort of neglect because every person in government isnt focused on the same problem is absurd. If it were the case the nation would fail within minutes without any help from the terrorists.

thats fair!!! i guess i really meant is this issue really pertinent? looking at the hearings there was pretty much zero facts being thrown around..where did Canseco get his data from? how does he know what some guy on the Yankees is doing every mon/thurs (250cc's each day lol)???? gossip is gossip

I agree its bullshit. Politicians trying to get face time by sensationalizing a none issue by involvign sports celebrities, thereby driving media interest.

But the sad part is they will win, regardless of the merits, because no one will bother educating themselves and frankly wouldnt care to speak out even if they did.

People are generally content to go about their own lives regardless of whats going on around them. So long as they arent targeted, they have a fuck everyone else attitude about most things.

the politicians just want air time. so when they go home they can say "look I cleaned up baseball". But I raised taxes, left the country unprotected and had coke up my nose with a $1000/hour hooker...Can I have your Vote

Bull

It's an easy target. "Lets go after something that can only harm the person doing it." I would think there are alot worse things going on in this country than to worry about some juice.

legalizing drugs would change all that.....

Might as well. My guess is it would clean up the streets, lighten the load of prisons, create jobs, more tax revenue, among other things.

There is little downside to legalizing. Everyone says it would be this huge horror story, but I am unconvinced.

I could get drugs now. So can you. It is not the legality / illegality of it that governs my decision not to use drugs. People are going to use, legal or not.

I know a few prison guards who have said that there are rampant drug cultures within prisons. Hello?

If they were legal, I still wouldn't use anything. The legality doesn't matter. I have no idea why we care so much about what people want to do to their own bodies. We might as well legalize some, if not all, drugs. They are everywhere now. It's not like the war on drugs is working.

Accept easier access and cheaper cost would encourage millions of otherwise marginal candidates to partkae. Also, the illegality is a deterrent to many.

If theyr were on their own it would beone thing. But we would all be picking up the cost for caring for their useless asses for the rest of their lives

Your first paragraph is not really problematic IMO; the second one I agree with. But that is not among the flaws of drug policy, that is another issue
