Anyone else here skate/board?

anyone here either Inline or Board Agressively? Just curious.

I myself am taking up aggresive inline.. its quite fun... nothing like busting your ass at the skatepark for 5 hours strait.
 
When I was really little, I thought skateboarding was cool but never got it down then my board caught on fire. Damn.

In retrospect, I'm glad I never got serious about it. Skateboarding, BMXing, and all that shit just tears up your body. I want to be able to play with grandkids someday.

Also, unless you're someone like Tony Hawk, the drawbacks to skating far outweigh the benefits. You've got the physical beating that skateboarding offers to your joints, tendons, etc. plus the actual cost of skating (boards, wheels, etc.). Unless you're making money off skating, its not worth it.

As for inline skating, as long as youre not doing stunts on a ramp, it should probably be a safe fitness activity.

I am doing ramps, vert, grinding.. all of it.. I don't care about falling either. I don't care about tearing up my body.. I hate my body anyways.
 
I use to aggressively skate... going to skate parks all the time but i ran out of time. I still have my skates so when i find free time i go. :)
 
i used to skateboard..and im special( heheh * roll eyes), a bunch of friends and i went out to dinner with Tony Hawk.....we all got shitty on margaritas!

Dude, I have things about my body I like and dislike, but you're a fucking work-in-progress bro. Why fuck yourself up for a non-constructive reason, which might lead to something like this: "dad, come play catch with me" "sorry son, I cant, my arms messed up b/c I used to skate"

For years, the longest I'd ever gone without lifting was probably 2-3 weeks (christmas break, etc.). But then I graduated HS and that entire summer I just partied & shit. I could feel myself going to shit, so I decided I needed something to help me. Did T3 without knowing how it killed muscle. Lost weight, but I feel at least half was muscle. Then I started putting on more fat. As of New Years last year, I was probably in my worst shape in about 3-4 years. This year I got back in the gym this year and I was in horrible shape. Now I'm almost back to peak strength, and will probably eclipse my former personal bests in the next month or two. The only good thing that came from the rest is that now I'm pain free. Now my cardio is starting to improve, and come spring, its time to start sports training again (sprints, plyometrics, etc.). I wish I could have taken a pic last year at this time, but I will take one soon, and then take one in 3 months and show you the progress I made. You can do it too. If you need any help with your training, PM me.

I am right there with you brother. Mountainboarding is cool, and hell I always got my snowboarding.

DW, you can't be serious (right?)..I remember reading a post of your's that you are 220# down by 5#..surely if you are keeping track you must be looking for progress. :) I rollerblade, nothing fancy and not fast and furious, but it got my bodyfat down because it forced me to move. :D

You might want to reconsider your attitude (about your self hatred and disregard for your personal safety) because this may just be the key to improving your physique and self confidence. I really think you're on your way. :angel: Now get out there and enjoy!

Before doing this.. I did cardio in the form of running.. and I still sat around ~220.. if this works .. then great, but I'm not going to even expect anything anymore..
 
My bf has skated since he was little and I love going to skate parks and watching them skate. One of our friends skates pro and he's amazing to watch. I have his boards all over my living room. ;)
