Anyone else get POPUPS that look like Message Boxes?

they arent regular popups from internet explorer. they are message boxes..... like u see when windows has an error or actually just like the popup u get here when u have a new private message


they are annoying as fuck. HOW DO I STOP THEM!

i never got them until i got my ISP (broadband) here at school


i think they are sent via a mass spam to a shitload of IP addies using some software???

well yeah, but at the top, do they say windows messenger.

this is how you fix it in windows 2000.

goto control panel/admin tools/services/ look for messanger in there, and disable it.

yes, it does say messanger service in the top part now that i think of it. i actually thought i may have had some sort of virus!
