Anyone else feel sick doing morning workouts?

Got sick all the time also had no strenght. Get some food in your system plus I found it that first thing in the morning I was never fully warmed up. And ready to go as I'm in the after noon.

Actually, when I worked out in the morning regularly about 7 years ago I felt great and it really helped get the day going. Now I feel I can't do it. Don't even go to a gym anymore, they're not open between 11 and 1 a.m. when I usually work out now.

nope im fine. as long as i take an eca based stack before and alot of water im good. evergy levels are high and appetite is suppressed just long enough til i finish and have my post workout meal.

daman, you pick my opinon to respond to when the people before me are all telling you basically the same thing that i was.so if you cant workout in the morning without eating then maybe seems like you should to me..

jerky..

happened to me on numerous occasions.

When I do light cardio on an empty stomach I have no problems at all and I even feel more enegertic after. But serious workout, are totally shit.

I remember once, I had a run ( more a sprint :( ) and it was on an empty stomach, I stopped I puked and started running again.

:bawling:

lifting on an empty stomach is not good, it will induce muscle catabolism. cardio on the other hand is best done on an empty stomach, but i do agree on feeling like shit working out in the am, but you do get used to it after a while

hell yes....that is why i work out at night now

Whoa, you got the concept wrong man. If you wake up, get dressed, drive to the gym, get changed, then start to work out, I would puke my head off too. That's just too long without eating. What they mean about working out on an empty stomach is doing cardio. I'd wake up in the AM and just go outside and run for 45 minutes come back and eat but you are going like 3 hours without eating(got to make your trip back) plus you haven't eaten all night. No wonder you feel dizzy and sick. You are probably losing all kinds of muscle mass that way.

No you missed my point. Let me try again:

When I DO CARDIO first thing in the morning, BEFORE EATING ANYTHING, I get sick DURING the workout, not three hours after. The sickness can last that long but usually doesn't.

THAT was my prob...

I feel sick during morning workouts too. I guess you get use to it, but I don't do morning workouts anymore. The worst workout for me to do in the morning was legs. I think I spent more time in the bathroom than actually working out.

I used to train in the am 1 hour after ingesting a high protein, high carb meal for energy, but found that the intesity wasn't the same as oposed to 2 pm which I currently train. I have also found that your joints ache more in the am and you have less energy throughout the day if you train in the morning. So for me I have found the best time to train is 12 to 2 pm. That's when my energy level is at it's highest and my joints feel great. If you train in the morning you also have a greater chance of overtraining.
