fucking annoying, these thread lockers are. Similiar to the anti-bomb squad movement, another movement should be started against thread locking.

Afterall, isn't this supposed to be the most controversial site on the web?? if it isn't a source post, i see no good reason why a thread should be locked...

I think it's to prevent arguements from getting serious..
Personal vendetas.. should be taken care off the open forum

I have a dream, that one day all threads on EF will remain open and unlocked...

ive only had one get locked that really hurt my feelings, a thing of true beauty that will never again be seen on the boards of ef, so great it was that even digger himself gave me green for it before he put his iron clamps down on it, the others i didnt care about

bitching about thread locking - vag envy

a free speaking board is much more fun than a restricted board...

LOL to be honest i didn't think this thread would be posted. I've been having problems posting threads lately. I click submit and nothing happens. I'll retype the thread and get the "duplicate post" screen click here to be redirected, etc...then nothing happens. It took me a few days to post a thread in the aas board no shit...do you know what's up shadowinator?

Damn. Give me the link.

Oh yeah... I am going to lock this shit up soon too. We have a quota to fill every week. Locked threads, deleted threads, bannings, alter killings, etc....

I'm trying to get a jump on the other mods today.

well, if anyone is gonna lock this shit it might as well be you

I am waiting for it to get good. Then I will lock it. We get bonus points and kick backs for having more threads started with people bitching about it.

We call it Parent-Child Points. You lock a good thread (parent) then any thread (child) started and locked afterwards concerning it automatically goes to the mod who locked the first one.

I don't think you got the cajones to lock this thread

I find thread locking pointless too unless in extreme circumstances.

excuses such as 'pointless topic' or 'too much flaming' don't cut it either, cos every thread is pointless, everything has been discussed before and the flaming wars are the interesting ones

I agree. I will never lock a good flame fest.
