Anyone done any offshore work before?

Looking for info. Have considered becoming what they call a roustabout. Anyone do this or done it in the past? I hear they make good money its just hard ass work. Advice, info? Thanks.

There are a lot of offshore oil rigs around here in SB... my only run in ever with some of the workers:

I was studying at carrows at like 3 am... they are shitfaced at the table behind me...mind you the one in the wifebeater and jean shorts is the best dressed of the bunch. I'm typing on my new powerbook 17" when one of them leans over the booth and asks me how I like my computer. So then I decide I'm going to fuck with him and ask him how he likes the fact that apple's os's are unix based and if he is familiar with the platform. After talking out of his ass for about 5 minutes, he decides to come to my booth. He leans over to me and tells me he needs crank and lots of it, I told him crank was bad for him but he just stared at me blankly.... Needless to say I packed up my shit and booked it.

After watching me do this for about 5 minutes, he decides to come on his fist and punch my open mouth with it. He leans over to me and tells me he needs man ass and lots of it, I told him my ass was for rent, he immediately kissed me deeply and passionately.... Needless to say I packed his shit and hit it.
