I have two pictures to hang on this wall... one is horizontal, one is vertical... i need to redo them b/c they are bugging me... Is anyone on here particularly gifted in the area of interior decorating? If so, I'll post or pm a video clip of my dining area wall so that i can show u what i'm talking about... thx

I'd like to decorate velvett's interior with some man fluid. What a looker.

It depends on the surrounding objects.

I presume the pictures are square? Make sure you balance the square with either round or a triangle. Round is easiest.

If you can, post pics.

k its shitty qual, i made it w/ a shitty webcam, so no complaining. This is just a small dining area next to the kitchen, i put the halogen fixture in a few wks ago. Our tennis courts are right out that left window... thats why it looks like there are UFO-like green lights out there....

neway, the vid is HERE

so the orientation of those two pics is bugging me... should i level the vertical one out so it's center is equal? or should i keep the tops of the two equal? I'm kinda ocd so shit like this reaaaallly bugs me.

I would lower the horizontal one on the left so it is center height of the one on the right.

The best advice I'd give you is get rid of that hideous track lighting. Also, those paintings are too big for that wall.

You are the last person I expected to give an advice on interior design!

I make more money designing homes then your whole family selling pirogi on the streets of Shitovgrad in a year.

You could use use real help there, but...

Swap the pictures. Put the vertical frame to the left and vice versa.

Where is Shitovgrad exactly?

the track business = given to me, and there was a HIDEOUS fixture there before, so i threw it up there. When I repaint the place Ima put a new one in but I'll be looking around for awhile. I'm only talkin about the paintings for now, I have a stockpile of goods, namely minimal crown moldings and what not that are going up soon.

I'm a great decorator. No degree, but decorating is something you either got or don't got. Can't teach someone the skill.

If you are not looking to buy anything new and simply looking to re-arrange your pictures, it's very simple.

My first recommendation is to get rid of the long rectangular pic on the left. The two big pictures together won't work very well in my opinion.

Use the small picture inbetween the curtains in conjunction with the tall picture. Hang the tall pic on the center of the wall, but low. Then hang the small picture directly ABOVE that tall picture. This method is called "stacking" and will emphasize height, which will make your room appear taller/higher. However, the two pictures don't look like they go well together, but I'm recommending this assuming you simply want to work with what you have there.

My second recommendation if you want to use both large pictures still is to also use the small picture with them. Hang all three pics on the same wall, but in an "assorted" arrangement. It's difficult to explain, but what I mean is to hang the three in a off-kiltered triangle arrangement (tall pic on right, small pic on upper center, rectangular pic on lower left). The key to this is to not "align" the pictures. It will look pretty good if I can show you.
