Anybody used Adobe Lightroom?

Best deal I could find was $200 at Micro Center.

Installs in about 30 seconds. One expects a bigger program for $200 (more everywhere else).

Never tried it, is it a digi darkroom basically?

i had the beta....can't say i used it much.

i'll probably find a torrent.....i hear it's good for working with raw files and such

It is strictly for managing and converting RAW files. I finally started shooting in RAW again. Several reasons.

Adobe makes a program for every little niche. It's freaking bull shit. Like you can't just get one good program for video editing, you've got to get a "suite" of products. Bastards.

For RAW I was using something like DNG or DGN whatever it was called to convert the file to be opened with Photoshop CS.

I have Lightroom but never even installed it to play with it.

Is it really better than the usual PSCS2 work?
