How come messages sometimes come up out of order on this board? It's disconcerting to see a reply come before the message it's answering.

Also, how many posts do you have to have before you can have an avatar? Or is that something that only comes with the platinum service? And how many times can I use the word "have" in one sentence?

I only joined yesterday, still getting a feel for the place.

It's 500 posts for an avatar, and the post order thing as I understand it is the result of a time sync problem between the two web servers and the db server.
