Anybody know anything about gas prices?

In my area, some people are saying that the gas prices are going to double within the next couple hours, that in fact, prices are changing right now -- anybody know any facts about this rumor?

I won't really mind..... I own a bunch of stock in the oil industry.... higher prices are better for me ..... and I only live 4 miles from work

I know I filled up this mornin at 1.68 a gallon and after 2:00 it went up to 1.98.

The US has a lot of oil reserves. We really don't need middle east oil but it historically has been cheaper. If middle east oil prices go through the roof then we can use some of our own oil.
