I was down there a couple months ago. Only for a week visiting relatives. I might make it down there again when it gets cool.

I'll be down there for a little bit for some training at the begining of next year.

What part of Georgia are you going too?

Savannah sucks. After one week, you will be bored silly down there. Take Atlanta with the better resturants and titty bars.

I'm in Atlanta, and lived in Savannah for until I was 18. I can tell you that you those two cities are for two different types of people.

In Atlanta you have:

1) great restaurants of all kinds
2) 100 movie theaters
3) 10 malls
4) 30 all-nude strip clubs
5) hundreds of bars
6) shitty traffic
7) stuck-up bitches
8) yuppies and wannabes
9) lots of gyms and juice

In Savannah you have:

1) lots of great seafood restaurants
2) no rush-hour traffic
3) a beach
4) 5 movie theaters
5) 2 malls
6) 5 topless bars
7) 50 bars
8) friendly people who liked to get fucked up no matter what time it is
9) girls that fuck indiscriminately
10) a couple gyms and alot of juice
11) gnats

It depends on what you're looking for a what type of person you are. If you love being near the water, Savannah is one of the best places on the east coast. If you love being near the nightlife and the big city, Atlanta is one of the best places in the country.

Gotta luv Tybee Island, not to mention you're very close to Hilton Head....Is McBrides Seafood Tavern still open, they used to sell buckets of steamed oysters and ice cold draft beer very cheap, and for quanity food, you could hit " The Filling Station"....wasn't the greatest food, but there was damn sure alot of it...Studebakers was nice as well....But I still love river street during Octoberfest.....

McBride's isn't there any more. As for Studebaker's and The Filling Station, I think you're thinking of Charleston, SC.

From Tybee back to Savannah - as you cross the second marsh - there is an old rusted out truck on the left. Turn down that road and follow as the road winds around an oak tree....about 500 yards is the best low-country boil you will ever have.

The Crab Shack. Good shit. You eat in the middle of an oak tree right on the water.

I think that you forgot the spanish moss.

The best seafood in Savannah is The Shell House!!!
I had the pleasure of eating there about three weeks ago.

Hey thanks for showing up!

Atlanta isn't an option on Buck's menu, except for visits.
