Anybody here ever work in collections?

I am going for a job in a collections depart and was wondering if anyone knew some laws and techniques to follow. I want to sound as educated as possible for the position when I go in tomorrow. thanks!!!!!

If you have a semi education then you’ll get the job. Collections people that I have dealt with over the years are not too bright. I even talked one into settling my wife’s account that was $4,000 for $0. Got the letter and sent a money order for $0. Account closed and satisfied.

If you know the laws you can screw with them too big time. My wife sucks at paying and I handle the calls. My credit is A+, hers F.

I enjoy screwing with them.

You'll be fine. Just go in there and talk to them. If they see you have a good rap you'll get the job.
