Anybody Have Pancreas Issues?

Returned from a weeks stay in the hospital with another bout of pancreatis with an inflamed liver added in this time. Does anybody have issues with reoccuring pancreatis? This has been a two year battle with monthly hospital stays and this time was one of the worst and the worst without having my pancreas explored.

I don't know much about stuff dealing with the pancreas. If you don't mind me asking, what would some of the symtoms be like if you were having problems related to it?

Flexed, I did some input on this at the anabolic board.
Davey, answer for your question depends on the disease that is affecting pancreas. Most common is its acute inflammation, pancreatitis, and the most common symptom associated to that is pain. Usually very intense, crossing midsection , and aleviates when tha patient bends. Sometimes pain is so intense that patients assume the maometan( muslim) praying position.Other than pain, intense nausea and vomiting.
Chronic pancreatitis usually present pain and digestion disorders, like diarrhea.Glucose intolerance can develop as a sign of pancreatic failure to produce insulin.
Cancer can present all the above plus very severe weight loss.

Ouch pancreatitis!

Are you cosuming a diet that is high in carbohydrates and low in fat? Do you take pancreatic enzymes or insulin or drugs to conrol your blood glucose?

I don't know your history but I hope for your sake you are doing what it takes for you to have fewer attacks!

enzymes are a waste for me not worth the price doctor had me stop taking them as there was no effect.

on a monthly hormone shot Octeride at $2,700 per shot. major side effects with it and its used for cancer and other things but has been found to be effective with pancrease issues.

i have been diagnosed with pancreas disease. attacks occour every month to month and a half though up to last week my last hospital stay was February 26th.

Pain is fucking intense. Hooked to morphine drip and fluids with no food until lipase levels and amalyse levels drop. This past bout had intense liver pains as well. Doc said releated to pancrese though who knows. Liver values very high ast and alt.

Blood sugar dropped down low reason ???

high fat is a trigger though first attack last year was two weeks before my show and I was on very low fat and carbs with high protein. Fat for sure effects my pancreas though not always the case.

Drink zero alcohol and stopped the AS a while back. They can't seem to fix this and its frustrating. Research shows me this leads to pancreas cancer if it continues and there are 5% of the population ( I am the lucky one) who can't be diagnosed with a reason for the cause.

Sorry man. Hope that situation gets better. Sending positive energy your way.:)

have u ever used slin for bb purposes?

That's harsh! But not knowing why would just eat me up!

Inflamation damages beta pancreatic cells that release stored insulin leading to low glucose.Very common during acute phase.
