Anybody ever get hypoglycemic reaction will on during the day?

This is weird. Every day at 11am sharp I get a brief 3o minutes before of feeling really good followed by very mild shakes and tremors where I calm them with a candy bar. Dont get them everyday but always at the same time. Only bridging now indefinitely on sust every 10 days. Curious.
I only feel like that after a slin shot.

I have been using slin

No... I was addressing this to the thread starter.

To Metal Gear: If you don't eat every 3 hours, you get "tremours and sweating"?? Doesn't that concern you a bit? What if you can't eat for 6 hours, do you pass out? 9 hours - do you die?

My original question was for Marky, because I remember that he has said in the past (I may be wrong) that he has used Slin quite a few times (relative to normal people, not competitive BB'ers) and I am wondering if he is worried that this might be the reason behind such an odd, hypoglycemic reaction???

But I only take it(10iu) early evening post workout with a large carb filled meal. Before crashing I usually will dring 2 8oz glasses of cranberry juice. Never had any evening or post sleep reaction.
I only use Humilin R. But this has happened when not using slin.
Because of my work I am often unable(but I dont even feel like) eating until between noon and 2 pm. Could this be a rebound of natural insulin? I think its just like Metal Gear said.

Look... I don't know. All I know, is that what you two are describing is not normal... Its good when we eat a lot, but when we don't we shouldn't have to combat tremors and sweating... you too both need to see a doctor...

just because you think you know everything about slin usage, doesn't mean you do...

Be safe...

I get that also,
Mainly when I have coffee inthe morning then a meal. It makes me hypo.
Last time it happened it took 30 minute to go away and 3 cokes, a bag of skittles, a bag of reeses pieces and a starburst.

Pull up that study on caffeine and hypo.

I have had hypoglycemic attacks for years, and it has little to do with my diet or supplements. My non-fasting blood glucose level is 40, where normal is more like 70-130. I eat every hour or two so it doesn't drop that often, but my problem is that I have a narrow window within which my blood glucose can drop from my "normal" state before I get intense shakes and sweats. Of course I eat as soon as I feel these symptoms coming on, but some of you may just be dealing with predispositions to low blood glucose levels.

Some people are more sensitive than others and will have symptoms of hypoglycemia at a given concentration of blood glucose than might not affect someone else. If it happens on rare occasion, it isn't a worry. If you've been using insulin and/or this happens frequently, then I'd get checked to make sure this isn't diabetes in the making.

Also remember, if you eat something that is high in carbohydrate 30 - 60 minutes before a workout, you'll get an insulin spike. If you then hit legs hard for instance when insulin is still high, the combined effect of muscular contraction and insulin will dispose of large amounts of glucose in a short period of time causing blood glucose to drop quickly and trigger a hypoglycemic episode. After your exercise induced adrenergic input to the pancreas shuts down the insulin response, things will stabilize.

r-ALA with the pre-workout meal might reduce the insulin spike and help, or have the meal an hour or more out, or just low glycemic index foods. Protein can also enhance an insulin response.

My symptoms at most are very mild. I usually just down a few gulps of my sport drink and 5 minutes later im fine. I am questioning whether an insulin shot the night before can incite a
natural insulin rebound(over compensation). I am assuming that since I take the slin the early eve by am my glucose is already low. No breakfast just coffee (caffeine) with sweet and low.
I have a second and third cup an hour later with a buddy who works next door. He leaves and I stand up and feel unusually good for 15 minutes then the hypo- like reaction. I suppose only a blood test at just the right time would tell, but then I would have to reenact the sequence of events at the hospital and then have blood drawn. Too complicated. At this time its not interferring with my life. Just not sure if its some tytpe of sign.

I know that if I don't eat and I take in any amount of caffeine I get very dizzy and lightheaded... that's what I think the deal is with you. See if it happens if you don't have coffee... or maybe, see if it happens if you eat some breakfast before your coffee.

Why aren't you eating breakfast? From you Avatar you don't seem like the type to miss a meal (not saying your fat, just a big guy)...

No appetite

When preparing for a comp I would have to force feed myself in the am and then always felt like i was 2 steps from the bathroom.
Mornings are a mechanical thing. No brain work involved. I dont even think i match socks or coordinate clothes(not that I even have to). Eating is just not there. 2 hours later and I am awake and hungry. Just the way it is with me. If I eat an early breakfast I feel very slow weak and naseated. Always since i was young.
Dont get me wrong, I sure do eat. But not in am and I bet thats why plus yes I do like my coffee and strong. 2pm Ill have a full cup espresso and shuffle my teeth the rest of the pm but no spells. I think thought that your right about there maybe a connection with trhe coffee. Ill try skipping the first am cup and see if any difference. Thanx for the feedback, it helps me think of solutions.

yeah, I am the same way in the AM... takes me a few hours to get hungry.

I think its the combo of low blodd sugar from lack of eating and the caffeine that effecting you. If the afternoon espresso doesn't make you dizzy, then its probably because you've eaten.

I had the same problem with coffee, since I really need energy in the morning. Once I started taking my B-12 shots, I have found I need it less though...
