What's up everyone? For those of you that have followed my recent layoff story then you'll know what I'm talking about in this thread. Anyway, things didn't pan out on the dept of labor program funding me for my CIW or MCSE training. They said these areas are already too flooded with people. I think it worked out for the best though 'cause their decision made me rethink where my life was headed and I've actually come full circle in my thought process (couldn't picture myself sitting behind a computer all day anyway...cause I never used to have a sit on my ass job for the last 10 years). I have ended up right back at something that I have always loved anyway-- bodybuilding...ie the human body and musculature. I am really thinking about becoming a Massage Therapist and focusing on sports massage. I plan on tieing this in with a personal training certification or two.
I think these two areas will satisfy me in the way that I'll be helping others and at the same time it fits in where most of my interests are at. I still plan on finishing up college and feel that all of this practical experience in these other areas will lend themselves well to another pursuit i have always considered--becoming a physical therapist. Anyway, I appreciate everyone who read through all of this and if there are any massage therapists out there...please feel free to comment and share your thoughts or opinions. Thanks.
