used to play that game a lot. I was reading a magazine article about golden tee and they were talking about this guy who could drive the ball over 400 repeatedly. Supposedly he would get like 5 feet away and run at the machine. what a retard.

I have a couple people at my work who play- one of them has a buddy who does that run up thing and knocked himself out.... went to hit the ball and slipped- the machine hit him in the solar plexus, and he was out- fell back like a log and smacked his head on the cement floor.....

dude said it was funny as hell...

i have a theory that Golden Tee is a government funded project designed to brainwash the American populace. Hidden messages are transmitted to your subconscious on each hole. Notice you can't go anywhere in this country without a Golden Tee machine being within 10 feet of you. I don't care if you're at church, in Victoria's Secret, scuba-diving or hunting turkeys, it's guaranteed that a GT machine is not far away. I refuse to play the game.

Yeah it would be cool until all of a sudden the Golden Tee machine started playing Duran Duran's "Reflex" at 150 decibels and a picture of Bea Arthur in fatigues starts flashing on the screen. Next thing we know we're bug-eyed in my Maxima doing 145mph on the highway on the way to Washington D.C. to receive our assignments.

I want to play!

I had never heard of it prior to moving here. The guys here are all excited because there is a new version out.

We have a guy that is a consultant for us that shattered his wrist because he ran at the thing and hit the ball that way, but he was drunk and hit off a bit and the force shattered his wrist.
Then very soon after that, in a cast, he was playing and he got mad and kicked the thing and broke his foot - I think he actually might have broken it again later while it was still in a cast.

He has had a series of other accidents as well that get much worse - a bad bike accident in which he lost part of his foot and broke his arm, and another one that messed up his knee.

the power of alcohol
