Any advice on preloading syringe?

I live with my mom. I usually give my injections early morning on Mondays and Thursday. My mom will be home early in the morning tomorrow and I want to give myself an injection. Will I be OK to preload my syringe with 1cc of gear and leave it over night? Any more risk with contamination?

Short periods are fine, however extended lengths of time the rubber in the stopper is thought to deteriorate.

If I preload I always store with the needle facing down and some air in the syringe.....

I don't understand how the rubber stopper could deteriorate. I mean, when the gear is in the vial there's a rubber stopper on there....but that doesn't deteriorate.

That's why genarr3 as astute as he is made sure to put the word "thought" to deteriorate.

That wasn't directed towards genarr3....I hear that from a lot of people on the board, thats why I commented....I just don't understand how the gear could eat the rubber stopper, expecialy since the vial in which the steriod came in has a rubber stopper.

I am speculating here but with the possible addition of factors like heat, dryness, and time could potentially deteriorate it. I would think if you left a loaded syringe in say your car, for even a few days during the summer time when it's 110 degrees inside the vehicle it would cause it to happen quite rapidly (of course nobody is dumb enough to do this though...I would hope).

And the comment I made about genarr was only because I notice that he seems to choose his words carefully.
