just picked some up for a throat infection; my question is does anti bio's inhibit muscle growth like anti-bacterials, like for acne? (minocycline)

i ask this cause, today i had an intense workout, and feeling a little weak, i was thinking of upping cals for the time being.

minocycline or minocin can inhibit protien syn, leading to mild muscle wasteing, other side effects include aching and inflamed joints as well as inflamation and sores on the penis,(I sware that I'm not joking here) other possible side effects include kidney and liver failure. You are not to tan on this drug because you may get severe burns. If I were you I would try to get amoxycillin or keflex if you are not allergic to them. I would not do any orals what so ever on this med.

I'm on minocycline and my doctor says it doesn't inhibit protien syn, and you can also continue to keep tanning if you'd like.

monstar you may want to tell your doctor to refer to a fucking PDR before giving out false info about meds. Tan if you want on minocin but your going to burn and develop a rash, All tetracyclines inhibit protien syn.
