antibiotics while on?

My friend went to the doctor for an infection and was prescribed cephalexin - can he can continue his cycle while taking the antibiotics?

Yes....I don't see a problem here. Unless he has a sensitivity to penicillin...no worries. He must have a bad infection as this med eats the cell membranes of the bacterial cells. Hope he's not on Winny for the joint pain may be heightened. If this happens, please refer him to MD immediately. Additionally, he can NOT drink alcohol and make sure he eats yogurt and drinks cranberry juice (and plenty of water).

Wow, thanks for the detailed response! He isn't taking winny (I think test and maybe deca), but I'll tell him to be prepared for joint pain. I assuem the cranberry juice si for the liver. What does the yogurt do? thanks again.

The yogurt is to increse the levels of good bacteria in the digestive tract. The antibiotics kill these as well. It has protein, calcium, and other vitamins and minerals as well.
