Anti-Israel Thread

i know people that have been to the camps after they were made accessible tot the public, particularly the one where a lot of the experiments happened, and they saw the lampshades, the shrunken heads etc. they could of faked it.....but it seems doubtful as the government there seem unlikely to (not israeli for starters)

i am sure it happened. it what scale etc....i'd just go on the records. but if they needed IBM counting machines to help process the bodies.....im guessing a lot

Turkey and Iran. Why do you ask??

And also Cyprus, Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. There are also many indigenous non-Arab groups in the various Arab-speaking countries. Some of these groups have adopted Arabic as their mother tongue, but ethnically and culturally they remain distinct.

Many people don't know this. Just wanted to make sure we're on the same page, that's all.

FF - To say the Jews look totally different from Western Europeans is one of the stupidest statements I have heard in a long time. Take a look at my photo. Do I look "Jewish?" Hell, most Jews don't even think I am Jewish. There are black (Ethiopean) Jews, Spanish Jews, European, Hispanic, etc.

I don't fully agree with FF, but you're not making a lot of sense, especially for someone who's Jewish.

The overwhelming majority of Jews in the world are subdivided into three major groups: Ashkenazi (Jews who eventually settled in central and eastern Europe), Sephardi (Jews who settled in Spain and Portugal and were later expelled from there - many went back to the Middle East and the Balkans), and Mizrahi (Jews who managed to stay in the Middle East and North Africa). All three are very similar to each other, much more so than to the host nations among whom they've lived for centuries after having been dispersed from their homeland. Moreover, all of the aforementioned Jewish groups are closely related to other eastern Mediterranean groups, like the Palestinians, Syrians, Lebanese, and also Kurds, Armenians, and some Turks and Greeks.

The Black Jews of Ethiopia, the Cochin Jews of India, and many other more obscure Jewish communities are a very tiny percentage of world Jewry. Most Jews, in Israel and the Diaspora, belong to the three major groups I listed above.

Actually, you proved my point even further. My point was "what does a 'Jew' look like?" My point was is that the various tribes of Israel have spread everywhere and that the traditional concept of a specifc Semitic look is bunk.

100% True... that is why I scoff at the term anti-semetic. Most Jews are not even Semetic.

You didn't read my post, did you?

I said: "All three [Jewish subgroups] are very similar to each other, much more so than to the host nations among whom they've lived for centuries after having been dispersed from their homeland. I think that was pretty straight forward.

I wasn't arguing about the existence of a specific "look" - that's a social construct.

What's 'Semetic'?

Read this: "All three [Jewish subgroups] are very similar to each other, much more so than to the host nations among whom they've lived for centuries after having been dispersed from their homeland. FYI, the term 'anti-Semitism' was invented by a German racial Jew-hater in 1879. Prior to that, Jew-hatred was simply known as Jew-hatred.

I'm in LA on business, and I met some friends of my cousin and low and behold, they were Persian Jews. I think now I've officially seen everything. Who knew?

Ever heard of the Book of Esther?

I read a little overview just now, I guess it takes place in what is modern day iran. it's just that:

1) I know many persians, and never had I met any jewish persians until LA

2) in LA, everyone is jewish. (an exaggeration of course but you get my drift. Even the rapper Jay-Z, is jewish, that's why they call him "Jigga" jew+nigga) Fascinating.
