Anti-E's hinder gains?

Terd

New member
I was having a discussion with two friends. They have both juiced, I haven't. The subject of anti e's came up. They said anti-e's hinder gains. I was under the impression that;

Estrogen leads to water retention.
The water retention added to strength and weight gains.
Water lost post cycle will lead to a loss of weight and strength.
or
Anti-e's limit estrogen which in turn limits water retention.
Which leads to minimal losses of weight and strength post cycle.

Am I right or wrong? What positive effects does estrogen have?
Can some explain it to me a little more clearly?

I would rather look hard and know what I have earned then look soft and guess. Its also a mental thing when you drop 15 pounds of water after a cycle.

This is an individual issue. Why use them if you don't need them. Not everyone is prone to gyno and water retention, and you won't know until you use steroids.
Some water retention is a good thing in the long term. Most big people allow themselves to blow up a bit in the off season so as to increase the weights they train with. Bigger weights = bigger muscles. Water is easy to get rid of when it's time to cut.
Now, of course you should have the necessities on hand, and use them if you get symptoms of gyno or excessive bloating. I have nolvadex, ldex and winstrol (for deca) just in case. But I've never had gyno in 30 years of steroid use, and you can see I'm lean without regular use of any anti's.
By the way, some fluid is good for the joints if you lift heavy. Ldex dries me out too much. And IGF is ESSENTIAL for gains in lean muscle mass.

Good post ironmaster! Could not have said it better myself. There is a whole culture growing out there that just includes anti-e's no matter what with every cycle. It's a joke when you see someone giving a newbie advice to take ati-e's along with their 250mg/week of sus!

That is so accurate. I just crossed over to the dark side and I am about seven weeks into my cycle of fina 75mg EOD and Enanth 500mg/week. I have very little bloat. In fact, I have more bloat from creatine than gear. I have the anti-e's on hand and will not use them unless I need them.

My friend takes 2g of test a week and doesn't bloat or anything. I don't believe in putting any extra in the body than it needs. There are plenty of side effects associated with the anti-e's and who knows what they will tell you about the drug's side effects in the future. Many drugs are periodically reviewed by the FDA and new warnings, side-effects, etc. are added. Don't believe that the Rx meds are as clean as you think. The companies specifically design the studies to show minimal adverse events so they can get the drugs FDA approved.

Regarding estrogen and gains...Everyone is different.:D
