GRY

There are only three words in the English language that end with "gry". Hungry and Angry are two of them. If you have been listening closely I've given you the third.

Karma to whoever answers this first.

Sorry but I don't know the answer. My buddy and I have been trying to figure it out and I was hoping that somebody here would know.

Yeah, I saw this too and if this is the answer it sure as hell is not clicking with me. Perhaps one of the mensas that frequent this board can shed a little lite on this.:)

Hey out_at_sea I tried to send you karma but it said I needed to spread it around first, as soon as I can I'll hit you sorry.

The correct riddle is this one:

"Angry" and "hungry" are two words that end in "gry".
There are three words in the English language. What is the
third word? Everyone knows what it means and everyone uses it
every day. Look closely and I have already given you the
third word. What is it?

"the English langauge"=three words

Language is the third word and everyone uses it every day..

Answer is "language".

Angry and hungry are used just to throw you off..

It is a faulty riddle because the parameters are not clearly defined.

It was designed to be"faulty" to throw you off...

You do not get what I am saying. The words 'the english language' should have been somehow separated. I know that you are supposed to figure it out but it is a cheap trick at best.

Plus, the sentence is a lie. There are more than three words in the English language.

If the words "the English language" would have been singled out or separated or emphasized the whole idea of riddle would have made not sense.

Once again, this is the correct riddle:

Angry" and "hungry" are two words that end in "gry".
There are three words in the English language. What is the
third word? Everyone knows what it means and everyone uses it
every day. Look closely and I have already given you the
third word. What is it?

"the English langauge"=three words

The third word=language(everyone knows what it means and everyone uses every day.

If it were to be structured like this:

Angry" and "hungry" are two words that end in "gry".
There are three words in THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. What is the
third word? Everyone knows what it means and everyone uses it
every day. Look closely and I have already given you the
third word. What is it?

..IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER AND NOT FUN..

On a side note , it is not one of the best riddle I ever come across but the above expalantion is how I am interpreting the facts and that was my reasoning behind the riddle.

hope it makes sense, if it doesnt so be it...

2Thick is correct. The sentence structure is incapable of supporting that answer.
