Another squat PR

i said last week i would collect some more PR' on squats heres todays work..my camera man had difficulties sorry about the video but its coming

525x1 <<< PR felt good had some more left..i dont mind working my way up but i still havent gotten to a weight where i've had to truly test myself and grind it out..but ill get there

ty shoog..i bet if i put on some metal briefs i could get pretty damn close in a few weeks..now if i can just get my bench to move up like my squat id be happier lol
 
Really nice. These are all on the box, right? Are you using a suit? Also, have you gotten a feel for the translation you tend to get when moving to the full squat (seems to vary by the individual although everyone gets something decent)? If I'm reading this right, you might well have a 600 full squat or very close right now.

Regardless, impressive stuff. It's always a great feeling to see the dividends your hard work earns you.

all squats done on the box..this is my first go with a WSB routine been on it for 9 weeks around the 12 week im going to take a weight and see where i end up..

As far as equipment i use loose ( theyre a full size to big) inzer sinlge ply briefs and a belt..the goal is to eventually compete sometime this year so i will need to suit up and learn the groove..id love to hit a 600 squat without a suit i know the WSB guys say you should get a 100lb carryover but like you said everyone is different..i do my box squats strict with no rocking..i should know in a few weeks what kind of carryover im getting :)
 
That's solid stuff. Box squat is really good. You aren't fully equipped either so you'll pick up some from there plus technique is ultra tight with room for more. WSB might throw out a fixed weight but I'm betting a % system is more appropriate. Maybe 15-25% is likely applicable to most lifters given the variation in maxes and individual's responses. I pulled those numbers out of my ass but I'd bet everyone gets somewhere close to 12-15% and few get 25%. Who knows but it will give you a good barometer to use in contest prep once you figure it out and contests will allow you to keep tabs on it to see if it's changing or staying the same. I have money you are on your way to some big squatting in the future. You should be excited.
