Yes, but their actual tax rate in comparison to the US is much lower because we pay so many hidden/embedded taxes. The average American does not earn a penny for himiself until sometime around June.

I forgot to mention the 15% sales tax. Not only is it 15% but the first 7.5% is calculated to a subtotal, then the other 7.5% is calculated. That means that there is a tx on a tax.
