Another solid day from everyone. Most of us set PR's on near everything today. Didn't take many pics and didn't video a lot either. brian747478', Jason, and Lynn are all getting ready for Nationals on Friday/Saturday and kingc has a meet on Saturday.

I tried to take it up a notch or two today, Cheese did well, and Ashley (his girlfriend) came out today for fun too.

Hercules Hold (something felt MUCH harder about these this week)

825 x 1 turn and a few steps...HUGE PR!!!

Ashley worked hard today. She had never done anything like this before but it showed that she had three things going for her.
1) Cheese had lots of patience and worked with her a lot today.
2) She is a true athlete.
3) She has A LOT of athletic desire and determination.

Her set with 375 on the Conan's Wheel looked easy too...went a full turn. The light weight men at the Bluegrass used 400:)
 
KingC gets bigger every week. His erectors just look freaky. They look like large snakes running from his ears down to his tailbone. A THICK 187 pounds for sure!!!

Kingc's 396 GM, ouch.

We need to work on these with light weights man...!!!

Cheese was solid today also. He probably put a little more time into helping Ashley than worrying about himself...which is good today. He still set a few PR's here and there :)

Lynn looks in better shape every week...lol. He said that he only had about 3 hours of sleep last night (sick child) but still had a solid day all around.

brian747478' looks to be good for Nationals also. Hamstring is looking stronger too. Still one of the biggest 224 pound guys I've ever seen...lol.

He also did well on the stones...even with a bum hamstring. I think he also set a PR on the Viking and did solid on the wheel also.

All around, we all had a good day. I am starting to get SORE at the moment...not far from a big meal and lots of sleep. Feeling better myself about possibly competing in November at a Pro show.

thanks b...man i didnt realize that gm looked that shitty....i wouldve done it again...i'm not used to using my legs like that and its still a lil weird. before i done them w/o leg movement....dammit...i'll max again this weekend prolly. owell...had a good day on erything else i guess.

clints wheel was absolutely nuts...that was ALOT of weight...and jason looked like he was floating w/the conans wheel..doesnt even look like his feet touched the ground.lol...and shane did awesome too...everything looked pretty good...ohp has really shot up i think. seemed everyone had a pretty strong day
 
Absolutely unreal!!

Training that heavy and intense is a one way ticket to building a big strong body.

How is your bodyweight B Fold? Are you still tipping the scales at 285lbs?
 
Hey everyone,
Yes, it was a nice little workout we had. However, the most shocking thing was Ashley. She hasn't worked out at all for at LEAST 6 months and she just walked in and flipped the 300lb tire like it was nothing (among the other things already noted). I know it blew my mind. She used to play basketball at the Junior College level. Maybe, I should try to play basketball more often. Maybe, I would be as stong as her if I did.

PS B-fold, you are a Conan's wheel monster. I think it should be renamed in your honor to the b-fold wheel.

Honestly...I doubt that I am 280. I keep getting leaner and stronger. I've been eating a lot more lately and doing a lot more conditioning work (sled dragging/walking, extra work, etc...) and it is paying off. Nothing intense...but light and consistent. My cardio is pretty good too.

clint, what type of camera do you use to tape your workouts? how hard is it to convert/edit/etc? was thinking of doing this for nonerz and I to check form.

My camera is a Sony 8mm Digital with S-Video outputs. I run it through my ATI video card into my computer, record to an ATI program that I have, compress through windows media encoder, then use WS FTP Pro to upload it to my site. Takes a few hours to do all of that...but worth it IMO.

I am a little run down today...whew. On to the log press tonight:)

When I got to work today I did a light set of extensions, 1 light set of curls, 2 sets of back extensions, and some sled walking.

Sounds like your metabolism is kicking it up a notch. Hell, if you are getting stronger and performing better in all events. . .weight really doesn't matter. Constant progress is what matters.
