Charles is from California and is doing some work in Nicholasville, KY for a few weeks and drove down to train with us today. Has some pretty good talent for never having done these events before.

sick job all around...i love deadlift videos

i was watching some other videos with cheese pulling last night and his lockout is SO STRONG and fast...but hes a little slow off the floor-knee. maybe you should tell him to do his speed pulls from a platform or something

That was some of the best shit I have ever seen in my life. Shear power and emotion. That's the kind of shit I live for. Congrats once again man and thanx for letting that out to the world.

Those deadlift vids rule! The one where you OWNED that 705.5 is going to be compulsary viewing before my next dl workout.

Im DYING to see this DL video! For some reason my computer is acting wacky will haev to try to DL it when i get to work. From the pics alone it looks MIGHTY impressive! Way to go, CLINT!!
ps. always love those pics of the poochies

Hello all.
As always, thanks for the all the positive comments. It gets me all aglow from the warmth of your posts (a bit too much don't you think?). Anyway, T3C, I think your idea is a good one. However, we are already doing these and I set PR on those on Wednesdday and the soreness was still with me on Sunday.

Cheese Rocking Out!!!!!!

Very nice, I have a couple questions if you don't mind ... not directly related to this.

How long did it take you to go from 400 to 500, 500 to 600, and 600 to 700 on the deadlifts? Just wanna get an idea of the relations if you don't mind. :)

Nice work btw.

everyone is talking about how great that deadlift video was, and it is.

but you threw that 345 stone up to the plat form like it was nothing......... that was so impressive to me.

are you sure it wasnt the 285!?!?!?!.....lol

you've been conditioning for a while now........ how much longer untill you start going for pr's with events again???

Bignate 73,

The reason I carried the torpedoes backwards is because the last person to do them set them down that way. Yeah, it looks goofy but I didn't want to waste the energy on turning them around.

B-fold, way to go on those deads!!!

i thought you did that to get more wind resistance and make the exercise harder....now you blew idea of your work ethic!

:p :D :p :D heheh.

Well...watch how he gets to the first 3" like it is 135...then stops. That would mean that he is strong off the floor and we already know that he is strong at the lockout. IMO he should be pulling with bands to work on the mid point of the lift...or rack pulls.

I think at 20 I pulled 500 x 3 with a belt and straps. Losing the staps and belt...I went down a lot. I did not pull from the floor either...I picked it up off the rack, walked 2 steps backwards, then went down and back up...MUCH easier.

I pulled 635 in the Summer of 2002, 702 in December of 2003. The biggest changes have been working HARD at the WSB principles.

It was easy. I could have probably done the 365...but who knows. Feeling better makes a big difference in a bad day and a good day in training.

I am setting PR's every week on different events. The events have just been different and I am taking more heavy weights on more events every week. Right now, I am still bringing up the weights on the events, through early December I will be doing more conditioning work with lighter weights than what I am using now. Starting in December...I'll start rotating events and I'll go heavy on it one week and light on the next.

Example...If I plan to do the yoke, wheel, farmers, stones every week...I'll do a plan like this:

Week 1: heavy wheel, light yoke, heavy farmers, light stones
Week 2: light wheel, heavy/mid yoke, light farmers, heavy stones.

Of course...light means more distance, adding in turns, or less rest between sets.

Very nice!! Good to see you back to pulling in the 700's again.:)

One question: You said that 345 stone was to a 61" platform. The platform looked like the same one that was used at Bluegrass, which I thought was 51". Did you make a new one?

sweet pull bfold. hurts my back looking at the midpoint though, man I cant pull like that :)

I'm working on it. Not sure why I pull that way...my hips lock out just a bit too soon. I do long arm my pulls though...it is the best way IMO.

welcome to 705 club my brotha!! awesome...the 702 pull was classic brotha!! tb

705 and 1/2:) After I pulled it...brian747478' said 'wow, that was 705?'

I said...'and a half' :)

I'll pull 725+ in the next 6 months. Pulling a PR on this isn't near as important as just the overall strengthening of my entire body with GM's, etc...
