another creatine question

perhaps this has been asked and answered. But when someone says that they cycle creatine (ie: on for 4 weeks, then off for 2) How long do they do this for? And when they say that they lose weight after using creatine, does that mean they lose the weight during the 2 weeks off OR that when they are done with the entire cycle they lose the weight?
 
I can tell you how it usually works for me. I'll cycle it for 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off. Within a few days of going off it, I lose some water weight, up to half of the total weight I've gained in pounds. I forget how the physiology works, I'm sure that you'll get a more detailed answer from one of the vets.

But yeah, you'll retain the weight until you are completely off it for a few days.
