My bad..It was Billie-Jean playing against some old washed up dude called Brooks if I correctly remember. Billie was only 29 years old...He was 51...BUT ratings were thru the roof..I was very young and I was rooting for the old man!!!

Who was the guy that had a sex change operation so he could play on the women's tennis tour.........the name "Renee Richards" rings a bell for some reason.

I am watching the Golf channel and those commentators were talking about Vijay's tarnished comments in regard to ANika and how he should tone down his comments and be a gentleman as golf is a gentleman's sport...Hmmmmmm...The guy has the right to speak his mind and I dont see why such a big fuss and negative comments in regard to Vijay's reaction...

It was in the 40's when a woman also played in a golf torunement against men.

Vijay spoke his mind. He has every reason to. When something like this takes place, the kid gloves need to come off.

A lot of the pros are talking like that. It just so happens the Vijay is a top ranked golfer and he is being made an example of. Speak on! If she is so manly, she ought to be able to handle the comments.
