There are pro and cons about her being given an exemption to play in the PGA tour....What is your take on this?

What do you think Golf guys? Is she gonna make the cut?

WELL, SHE IS THE BEST WOMAN GOLFER IN THE WORLD SO THAT HAS TO MEAN SOMETHING. HOWEVER, IF SHE MAKES THE CUT, THAT MEANS A MALE WHO WAS TRYING TO MAKE THE CUT DOESNT. I'D HATE TO BE HIM. I'M SURE HIS SPONSORS WOULDNT LIKE THAT TOO MUCH.

PERSONALLY, I THINK SHE IS JUST DOING IT TO CAUSE AN UPROAR.

Not trying to be a male chauvenist(sp?) but I hope she flames out. I don't think she has any right to do what she is doing.

Personally, I don't think she can compete with the men. Sure, she can hit the ball 275 yards on her drive but comparatively speaking, she would rank at the bottom of the men's tour in that statistic.

I don't know why she chose the Colonial tournament though. The rough is thick and I don't think she has the muscle to get out of it if she winds up in it a lot.

I don't know if she will make the cut. She will be teeing it up where the men hit from so she will be in unfamiliar territory as far as that goes.

Not trying to take anything away from her because she is a great golfer. Probably the best female golfer that has ever played the game but she needs to stay on the LPGA where she belongs.

I just think since the LPGA is not a very "watched" sport that she is trying (or being coerced) to stage this thing on national TV to try and pull up the ratings of the LPGA.

Notice how many top pros will pass up this tournament.

Anyone remember when Navratilova played against a man- my memory fails me to remember his name- and whupped his ass?

Guess what ...that guy was 50 years old..Not quite a fair match up but it was a good sell for TV ...

We shall see! Anyway the pressure on her will be tremendous;however, pressure will be on men too and some's ego it may be affected or even hurt if tehy fail to make the cut or place behind her...

I'm not up on tennis, but are you thinking of back in the 70's when Billie-Jean King played against some old dude?

She may play more than one tournement...Tiger also suggested that she should play more than one torunement so she can show what she really is made of.

I wont call myself a chauvinist , but I think that men golf may take a back seat with all the focus on Anika and I dont think is fair...

If she likes getting her ass kicked PGA style then more power to her. I think she will find out how demanding the PGA can be and will stick with the LPGA.

It is a publicity stunt plain and simple.

My bad..It was Billie-Jean playing against some old washed up dude called Brooks if I correctly remember. Billie was only 29 years old...He was 51...BUT ratings were thru the roof..I was very young and I was rooting for the old man!!!
