Anavar

Hello Girls!

My honey thinks that Anavar would help me. Any ideas? Pros/cons? Dosages?

I'm at about 16% BF now. Working out so hard and don't seem to make any major progress... My nutrition is great right now: Getting plenty of protein.

Any help/info. will be appreciated!

Goal: Compete fitness figure within about a year or less.

This is my current shape (actually a bit better as this photo is a few months old):

Diet:

Vegan consisting of:

CFM Whey, oats, lots of "meat" sauce (tomato sauce, garlic, tofu and Quorn which is a meat substitute; see quorn.us), hummus, protein rich bread, minimum fruit (grapes, blueberries, apples, some carrots) and not enough veggies.

Usually in the morning I will make oatmeal of plain oats, CFM Whey from proteinfactory, soy milk, blueberry juice, flaxseed (ground) and a few raisins.

My other meals consist of brazil nuts (handful), sandwich with hummus and tomato, my tofu/fake meat sauce that I make (the fake meat is comprised of microprotein, not soy). I used to eat some wild rice with my sauce too, but have stopped lately.

Gallon of water a day. Eat every 2-3 hours; small meals. Green tea...

My diet is pretty good. No bad fats, def enough protein. Steady carbs as I was trying to put on some muscle, but now I want to cut some of the BF, so I am cutting carbs a bit.

Workout: Did 3 HST cycles over the last several months. My stength increased pretty well, but am now having some difficulty with getting past my maxes on some workouts: arm curls, squats, lat pulldown particularly. At this time i am supposed to finish my HST cylce (week 5/6), but am actually taking a new approach: Lifting as heavy as possible; for each exercise 5-15 reps and I def feel it from the last few workouts. I work out every day intending to take one day off per week and 1 week breaks or so every 6 weeks. Switch workouts every day: One day chest, back other day arms, legs and abs as often as possible.

What is cardio going to do for me?

...Burn some bodyfat.

I guess maybe you should be more specific than:

My honey thinks that Anavar would help me

Help in what way?

Exactly.

What SPECIFICALLY are your goals?
What steps NOW are you taking to reach them?
and
WHAT is the Var supposed to be "helping" you do?

If you have reached a plateau, there are other (smarter) choices to make BEFORE adding AAS.

Change your food timing
Change your food choices
Change your caloric intake - more or less
Change your workout timing
Change your workout choices
Change your training split
Change your workout intensity
Add more cardio
Do less cardio
Change your cardio machine/class/routine
Introduce HIIT
Get more sleep
Supplementation - fat burners, shakes, glutamine, etc.
Drink more water
Reduce amount of stress in your life

There are more things you can do....these are just SOME of them. :)

AAS is to help me put on more muscle. I have made tremendous progress already as far as my look goes. But as a female, putting on muscle is hard as well, we all know in this forum. I want to put on a lot of muslce, then burn excess fat. My fat problem area is just my lower stomach now.

Already do HIIT. Already drink a gallon of water a day. Stress is none in my life. Training is great, etc.

All that's left is either keep going up slowly or speed it up a bit (AAS).

Recommended dosage for 1st cycle?

It not that hard.....Seriously.

take a look at the progress thread by Treilin and bunny and Skittles, MS24k

ALL have gained muscle WHILE losing dramatic amounts of fat along the way - all are natural

Right. Well, I ask the forum for advice on dosage, I have not received back an answer. I do not need you to tell me to not take AAS. I know and undertand very well what needs to be done etc. b4 VAR. I did my research. I've made a decison and am posting to get info on dosage. I underand very well what needs to happen b4 taking Anavar. I'd appreciate your help in answering my question.

It helps if you have a target contest date in mind. The season usually runs from March - November (in the US anyway). If you have this in mind, then you can start scheduling your pre-comp, what bodyfat you are around 12-16 weeks out & prep according to what you want at comp time. For figure you are looking around 10-12%. Var tends to make your muscles harder. The bulk or cut will depend on how you are dieting. The cycles I've seen usually put var towards the last 8-10 weeks pre-comp. (Make sure also that your target comp is NOT tested. That's cheating.)

The typical dose is 10 mg/day, 5 mg in the AM, 5 mg in the PM as var has a half life of around 8 hrs. You can start at 5 mg for a week or two and work up. There's generally no reason to go above 10 mg/day. Also depends on how you react to the particular var you have. Be aware of the particular sides you can expect, e.g. interrupted period, etc. and adjust your life accordingly.

If you did the research, then you should know the dosage....

Lose the attitude....or take it to the gear board..thats is what its there for.

Thank you Sassy! Appreciate your advice.

Shadow, I do not have an attitude; only a problem with people unwilling to give advice which I ask for.

...just as I have a problem with those unwilling to do basic research on their own.

Glad we understand each other.
