Anavar vs. Dbol for bridge.... ?

I am strongly considering the use of Var with the following hopes: I wish to lose weight and attain strength gains. I just came off a cycle of test/EQ/winny, and need a bridge.

I've read that Var is great... but does it live up to the hype? Is it worth the money? I need to know cuz it's very expensive for me.

On the other hand, Dbol is also used at 10mg/ed for a bridge too, and it's a LOT cheaper... but has a tendency to cause bloat. Will I get bloated with such a low dosage?

Which should I go with? What dose is good with anavar? I'm 5'10", 284 lbs, 28% BF (I am not trying to look cut like a bodybuilder, I'm a powerlifter). All I want is to continue enjoying my strength escalation, and maybe drop a little body fat.

This whole topic has been debated at length numerous times. Call it what it is, an extended cycle or a taper.

I am unable to effectively use the search function... and I also realize there has been much said about this matter. My old ID was eric123 (had about 400 posts over the last 3 years)... but that account was deleted for inactivity....

Anyway, I'm not looking for any long, involved answers... just a simple and quick opinion please.

I lean heavily toward anavar, but just wonder if it is really good stuff or not. Every bit of research I have read says, "it's a very mild steroid agent".. which leads me to believe that it is shit.

Howdy , you got an answer. A bridge -call it what you will- is just an extension of a cycle. If your HTPA is shut down, it's already got to fight to come back to normal when you stop your cycle. I think adding anything that will hinder it AT ALL is counterproductive, you might as well just keep your cycle going. Maby it works for some people but IMO either be "on" or doing everything you can to recover

Ok... I see. I've actually been off now for about 3 weeks. In reality I just wanted to extend it.... but now need to decide if I should shift into recovery mode. I see your point.

But I am mainly interested if the general consensus of anavar is positive or negative. Since it's considered mild, is it ineffective when used alone?

Exactly...

I still don't follow your question. Mild how? As an anabolic? Anavar is a 17AA, same as D-bol and Wintrol. It's liver toxic just like they are. You can do a Anavar only cycle but imo it's best to stack with EQ, Tren or Test. Anavar is suppressive to the hpta.

Howdy, just like Juice said I'm not really shure what exactly your wanting to know about it. To answer what i think are your questions- yes, it is a GREAT drug. It is my personal favorite. It is a very "mild" anabolic, it gives you very lean, modest gains with excellent strength increase. It is 17 AA so can be dangerous to the liver . Alot of people cite studies where ox was given to people with liver problems and their values actually improved, or that it isn't that toxit. But most of those studies were done with medicinal recommended doses. But i don't think it's as harsh as d-bol or especially winny.Take all the proper precautions and get your liver values tested around week 4-5 just to make shure nothing is severly out of balance. Also it does shut down your HTPA , obviously not as hard as a strong androgen but yes it odes. I love to do ox only(kinda) cycles with a small amount of test just to keep test levels baseline (ex ox40-50mg's/day - test -enan 20mg's every 7-10 days). the test is just to keep things "normal". I love these type cycles, great for athletic enhancement, but not a mass gainer/bodybuilder cycle. I plan to run a ox & eq(with a little test) cycle soon- that should just be amazing. Now that that's out of the way- you said "I've been off for three weeks"..."now need to decide to shift into recover"?? Man you should have long since been taking care of your post recovery. The first three weeks are the most important for keeping gains- have you been doing anything????

Thank you gentlemen for all the responses.

Actually, I've not done anything for post cycle, as I figured the EQ was still floating around my system. If I were to keep it going, I would LOVE to try tren at 100mg/ed with a little test. But I was advised against using tren now, because I just got off test 500mg/wk and EQ 400mg/wk with a little winny. The cycle greatly increased my overall strength, but my bodily appearance remains stagnant (I am just a good bit fatter).

I was told that tren was too powerful to use directly at the end of a cycle. Is this true?
