Anavar question

I have question about anavar. I'm not afraid of needles but I understand that anavar does not close the growth plates prematuraly. I'm 18 and want to use gear but im not messing with anything that will stunt my growth till im older. Will anavar lead to any size gains or is it not worth it? Or is there anything else that will not lead to pre mature closing of the growth plates?

Creatine, protein, ass to the floor squats, deadlifts, weighted pullups & dips - if you can't or don't do these at your age quit now!!

The drugs will always be there, develop your genetic potential first!

Your natural test production is at its highest now. Use it to your advantage, cuz its only goin to drop after 18. Give it at least a few years before thinking about gear. Im 21 and i have only begun to starting thinking about it and researching it now. I am getting as much out of my natural test as i can now.

Good Luck

I wanted to use gear when I was 18 as well but waited until I was 30 before actually doing it. What supreme said is right on the money. Wait please!!!! Train your ass off for several years. Eat right, get to know your body and what works naturally. Once you have reached the end of your natural potential revisit these thoughts and make the right decision.

Again as I've stated time and time again to be 16....and know about weight lifting, diet, supplements......and this board and a few others I'd be twice what I am now....then chasing girls was more important....

This is right on the money! Make all the natural gains you can now.

halo? LOL.

I would stay away from the var at least for a year or 2, but its all up to you. In my opinion Var is safer then any PH suppliments out there, and you will get better gains from it. At 18 i doubt that you have your diet and training perfected. If you do kill yourself at the gym, and eat right at least 6 meals a day, and have been working out for 2 years straight, then i say go for it. A Cell tech like creatine, will make you put on some good size too. Just so you know, even taking Var at your age could slightly lower your test production for the rest of your life. And any Gear including var fuks with other aspects of your body such as insulin sensitivity. Research your ass off, before doing it, and make sure you know everything you need to know. At 18 your gains should be awsome naturally, if you know what you are doing.

I think that doing heavy squating or anything that puts alot of pressure on your spine will stunt your growth. It actually closes the growth plates in your spine. I would stick with leg presses, no deadlifts and no real shrugs. There are other excersizes to hit the leg muscles. Hardcore sprinting, HIIT, will make your legs grow too. Im 21 and i have grown an inch in the past year. Dont listen to people who have stunted their own growth, who say that you dont grow past 19, it bullshit, and i am still growing.

WTF????

Squats, Deads stunt growth - give me a fuckin' break. these are the best exericses for raising anabolic hormones in young & older trainers. The leg press , Smith machine, hackslide etc. are all pieces of shit designed to make workouts easy! - HELLO, working is suppossed to be hard!

Telling the kid not juice is one thing - I was the first to say it! but if you take away those lifts he will never grow at all! or he will be one of those stupid, imbalanced, non-flexilbe hunchbacks you see in every gym that just stand in front of the mirror and think "wow , I'm cool, I can leg press 1000 lbs"

I'm telling you at any age, especially 19 - SQUAT, DEADLIFT, DO THE OLYMPIC PULLS ETC. just make sure you have proper instruction from a qualified person - not one of those ACE trainers!

and before somone asks where's my proof these are the best exercises:

Squats stress every muscle group and increase the release of anabolic hormones.

To examine the adaptations of the endocrine system to heavy-resistance training in younger vs. older men, two groups of men (30 and 62 yr old) participated in a 10-wk periodized strength-power training program. Blood was obtained before, immediately after, and 5, 15, and 30 min after exercise at rest before and after training and at rest at 3, 0, 6, and 10 wk for analysis of total testosterone, free testosterone, cortisol, growth hormone, lactate, and ACTH analysis. Resting values for insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I and IGF-binding protein-3 were determined before and after training. A heavy-resistance exercise test was used to evaluate the exercise-induced responses (4 sets of 10-repetition maximum squats with 90 s of rest between sets). Squat strength and thigh muscle cross-sectional area increased for both groups. The younger group demonstrated higher total and free testosterone and IGF-I than the older men, training-induced increases in free testosterone at rest and with exercise, and increases in resting IGF-binding protein-3. With training the older group demonstrated a significant increase in total testosterone in response to exercise stress along with significant decreases in resting cortisol. These data indicate that older men do respond with an enhanced hormonal profile in the early phase of a resistance training program, but the response is different from that of younger men.
