lets take as a given that Var kills HDL numbers, and pretty quickly.

anyone yet found some combo of supps to prevent this?

policosanol is one of the few supps that suppossedly raises HDL, but many posts here say it was worthless as a preventative, only useful for post-cycle recovery of HDL levels.

Im on 50mg of Var right now, and wow I get winded from the littlest things. I have started doing 45 minutes of cardio every day, except leg day. It's helping a little but var is definately a cardio killer...

I plan on taking Nolva daily during my var cycle along wiht vitamin E and C, flax and salmon oils and policosanol. I am going to use low dose HCG (500mg E4D) as well to boost test a bit and keep shutdown to a min. I think the Nolva and the test boost will both help mediate the negative lipid implications. I have a few threads bookmarked if you want I can post em up later.
 
There was a thread recently where someone posted that he had success with policosonal + CoQ10 getting hdl levels back to norm after a var cycle.
 
right now im on var at 40mgs/day. My pre-choleterol was 166 (down from 195 wiht the help of policosanol) with hdl of 42. I have been been taking Coq10, policosanol, psylium husk. phytosterol complex, liver detoxifiers, E, C, and a few other things i cant remember for it. I will let you know in about 2 weeks how the end values are..
 
Ever since Ive been on it my cardio vascular health has dropped. I can not run as long. I have upped my cardio alot more since im on and have noticed it helping, but still im comparing pre-cycle cardio strain to now, and Ive noticed a difference as far as endurance goes, for the worst. When I started the cycle I was @ a hig bf% and I have dropped a good amount now, so it could be a important factor I dunno.

Hey Geoboy.. Search for my post on Policosanol's and Var dating from several months ago. Pre Cholestrol was excellent (high HDL low LDL). Was on var cycle for 12 weeks. Used 40mg policosanols a day along with 30g fishoils (inc. all other supps of course)
HDL and LDL were HELL after 12 weeks the protectants did NIL.

how are they now junk?? A lot of people tell me they naturally recover after discontinuing the var

shit. I've seen a few other posts like this as well.
did you take noflush niacin during the cycle? if not that might be worth a shot, as thats the other main supp that suppossedly boosts HDL.

also, search my post from prob a year ago re taking Garlic while HDL-impaired. there were a few studies that showed that it acted as a Super-HDL; this would be sort of a pseudo-HDL Replacement therapy :) until recovered.
