Does anyone know how good this stuff works? They claim you only have to change oil every 25,000 miles.

I know a guy that wont use anything but AmsOil--he swears by it. I have never used it---but I do know that I would never let my vehicle go any longer than 10k miles without an oil change--and the way I drive, that would be a stretch. But, I am kinda ignorant on the whole amsoil thing, too.

I would like to see some more responses.

I like regular oils in my engine, but in my tranny, and diff, it is nice to have synths in it.

yea ive always used Castrol and change my oil every 2-3 k miles. I just want to cut down on time and hassle mainly. I dont understand how it could work. If you get dirt in your engine it needs changed. A friend of mine works on road construction and met a guy who has a small truck that had over 340,000 miles on it and he ask him what kind of oil he used and he told him amsoil and changes it every 25,000. I know its very expensive but if it actually worked It would save time and money.

Is yours high performance? I change my synthetic every 3000 miles. If its just a work car that you don't care about, go ahead. If you plan on taking the car on any long road trips at a high rpm, i wouldn't trust any oil at 25000 miles.
