Been watching it for the last few hours on and off...



overall a great movie and has some badass ideas behind it....

no matta if yo black o white.......

yeah the dvd version is very good with the deleted scenes. most definatly the kind of movie that makes you think a whole whole lot.
 
my old roomate jack was murdered by a 18 year old black high schoool senior/just graduated two years ago. he was working graveyard at a gas station. he complied with everything they told him to do, then they made him get on his knees, and shot him in the back of hte head executioner style.

I am not a fan of the police in general, but in this case I think they did right. Dude was all drugged up, did you see the first part of the video? He was running around skipping and acting crazy. If a 325 pound drugged up man was fighting me I would beat the hell out of him with whatever I could find. Is it so freaking hard to just lay down and get cuffed? Like I said I cannot stand the police in general, but if you fight an officer you should realize what you are going to get in return.
American History X is a great movie. Did a good job of showing how most of the organizations work. Just a bunch of angry dumbasses.

not just beat him unconscious?
guess when he was on the ground not moving, they could not have stopped
 
From the video I am not sure we can say he was on the ground not moving. Did you see a different angle of the video than I did? All I saw was the parking lot vid with him jumping around like an idiot and then the dash board vid from the police car. Did he die in the parking lot after the beating? Did he die during the beating or soon afterwards? Did he die of a heart attack due to his enlarged heart and drug use or from the beating he took? It looked to me like he was trying to hit the officer, then wrestle with him. The part I did not like was the third or forth guy coming in and butt ending the guy with his stick. I hit a cop in the face when I was 17 and took a good beating from his buddies. Not enough to kill me, but I am not that fat and I was not on any drugs. Fractured a couple of ribs and had many other bruises, but I figured that is what I deserved for hitting an officer and resisting as much as I did.

How about we all play put your teeth on curb? I'd feel horibble if someone was done in that way, thats a really sad and low way to die.

That scene was fucked up. I normally laugh my balls off at horror flicks or death scenes, but that one I turned my head away.

All fat and obese people on drugs should be beaten severely and put into concentration camps with forced labor.
 
I hated that fucking movie.

The underlying story was total bullshit.

I liked how they tried to make it seem like his dad was all racist before he got killed because he was against affirmative action.

Fucking lame ass movie.

Watch it again and ay closer attention next time....you'll see what I mean.

IMO, there's no such thing as "reverse discrimination"

Doesn't matter if it's black towards white, vice versa, or even black/black, white/white.

It's all the same in the end.

I was being sarcastic XBiker. Im white living in San Diego, which makes me a minority.

And the statement "racism is racism, regardless of color" is an absolute.

I completely agree but I disagree that was the message of the movie.

I thought movie had very liberal and anti white undertones.
