Spain's economy doesn't suck. It has done a lot better since they joined the EU. There still does seem to be a lot of unemployment though. I couldn't get a decent pint of Guinness in Dublin last time I was there because all the bartenders were from Spain. No shit.

I know that Spain's economy sucks, but I really liked the people there, and the pace of life. Not to mention the views, women and nature (Palma, Ibiza, Benidorm)

Spain´s economy has outgrown all other EU economies throughout the 90s.(probably because it started so low, oh and can´t forget the billions of euros in subsidies)

Well, beer isn´t a Spanish strength. Neither is customer service. Spanish bartenders? There is an EU work program where you can go different places and they find you a job. Exploitation more than anything as the wages are nothing.
