There is NO law saying that we have to pay taxes for our labor. For profits from corporations, yes, but not if you are working for someone. Than thats exchange - work force for money or whatever else

I don't like paying taxes, especially for WORK I DO. Buying stuff, then perhaps yes I should be taxed.
Our local property taxes are going up yet again because the officials decided the current jail isn't new & big enough. Plus they are putting in more schools. Two things which I have no desire of supporting.

What pissed me off was one year I decided to do side work from my house to earn extra money.
That little extra apparently put me into a different tax bracket and after TAXES I only gained about 1/4 of what all I worked for.
(Example if I made $2000 from side work, after taxes I only got to keep $500)

I can tell you this - our tax system is a sham. I am not saying we should not pay taxes but the current way it is structured is a complete and utter disaster.
It is set up exactly this way so congress can be in complete control. They get hit up by lobbyist who want this tax law and that tax law. The exercise power over corportations by threatening to to change this and that as well.
Give me a flat tax or give me a sales tax and take these powers away from these shits in DC. Just my opinion.

I know somebody very close to me that has rtired form one state and lives and works in another and... the state currently living in taxes both the the current occupation and the prev pension... along with the previos state also taxing the pension and on top of it all there's federal taxes... they actually went through several hardships and got behind on their taxes, now the IRS has sent them notice that they will be coming through their home soon and taking what are considered sellable items for auction!! that to me is f'n ridiculous especially seeing the severity of the hardships suffered and these people are by no means rich in fact they are scraping by with high medical bills!! on top of lawyer fees trying to stop the IRS from taking EVERYTHING out from under them!! house included!! that is unfathomable to me how this could happen when there are far richer people/coprporations that are skating by!! and that's the main problem with it!! and we are talking about a good upright American family, even ex-military... I'm saddened at the way he is being repaid for his service... and like I said there were extreme hardships... they didn't decide to just stop paying one day because they wanted a second home in Aspen.
