--I can't stand ebonics, if you speak ebonics and call me playa, then I won't give you any respect.

--If you want special treatment in getting a job, scholastic acceptance, or anything else, then I can't respect you. (47 states use the quota system in law school admissions)

--I heard a rap song say "making money the fly way" if you believe that it is "fly" to sell drugs and gang bang, then I have no respect for you.

--If you laugh at all the white jokes on BET and get offended by any black joke, then you are an idiot and need to lighten up or censor BET.

--if you see nothing wrong with Affirmative action and the fact that you get an advantage over people because of the color of your skin, then I can't respect you.

--If you wear fubu and bandanas around your head and are loud and obnoxious (like everyone at mardi gras), then I will give you zero respect

--I have been a waiter and noticed that MOST blacks leave little to no tip. Even the black waiters agreed. I worked at a Christmas tree lot and all the employees would scatter when a black customer approached. If you are one of these people who never tip anyone because you feel that their services are owed to you, then I will NEVER respect you.

--If you want equal representation on television even though "your people" only make up 12% of the population, then you need to realize that "equal representation" is another word for reverse discrimination.

I'm not the guy thats says all black people steal, all black people smell, yada yada, thats BS, everything stated above has BEEN OBSERVED by personal experience, I have met plenty of cool black people, and have some cool black friends, but according to most of you, I am racist.

I admit, I get disgusted when I hear about the latest civil rights law suit, SERIOUSLY IS LIFE THAT HARD?? SO HARD THAT YOU HAVE SUE EVERYONE WHEN THINGS DON'T GO YOUR WAY?? AND THE ONLY REASON PEOPLE SUE FOR DISCRIMINATION IS BECAUSE THEY ARE SO SELF CONCIOUS ABOUT THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN, LET IT FUCKING GO.

MLK was a great man and he had a dream his dream has been accomplised, now GET YOUR OWN DREAM and stop preaching his.

CHICAGO, July 13 (UPI) -- Two white waiters who were removed from a
banquet attended by a black Chicago alderman known for her battle against
racism are suing the hotel where the function was held.

The two waiters, who have worked for 11 years at the Palmer House Hilton
Hotel, claim they were removed simply because of their race at the behest of
Alderman Dorothy Tillman's staff.

"It made me feel very small. It was terrible for a few days," waiter Ahmet
Gundogdu told Friday's Chicago Sun-Times.

The lawsuit, filed against the hotel, said Gundogdu and Michael Otte were
just told to go home. They wound up working another event at the hotel that
night and are still employed there.

Tillman, who was not named in the suit, said she remembers saying she
wanted more black staff working the event but she maintains she never told
the hotel not to use any white employees.

"We shouldn't eat where we can't work," said Tillman.
"it's not personal against anybody. I'm just pro my people."

Attorney Jerome Marconi, who is representing the waiters, called Tillman's
remarks ironic.

"She's practicing what she abhors," he said.

I don't think you're a rascist, you offer reasonable experiences( unlike other B or W) commenters here.....some make no sense or have no basis for hateful comments....there hasn't been a WET thread yet, but if there was it would cause quite a stir.....and the simple fact remains the experiences/situations brought to the table here........cause tensions......both ways.......I understand that people have a right to express their views, but I believe the right to speak freely gets abused in this country much like the media...abuses their power to create more of the problems. Racism is a touchy thing but one thing is for sure. It is a global thing and it will never go away.
I have been lucky enough to have been to 13 countries in my life, so far, and one thing is for sure. Racism lives everywhere. Some people hate black people, some people hate whites, some people hate Americans (actually most other countries hate Americans) and some people hate everyone.
The only thing that you can do is be the best person you can and treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. I mean everyone... because you ever know when you may be walking in their shoes or when you may need their help.
I try not to dislike or pass judgement on anyone until they have shown me what they are made of.

As a Hispanic female i'd like to add a few words to NATYMIKES comments. You say you're speaking from personal experience...from what it sounds like, you're only pinpointing and observing Black people. If you disagree then you'd know that there are a shit load of Whites, Hispanics, Asians, etc. that fall under most of the statements you've made. Besides Blacks there are others that wear FUBU, that hardly tip waiters, that gangbang and sell drugs, that will call you playa and whiteboy, speak "ebonics", and whatever else you said. Discrimination does exist to this day, thats why there are SOME minorities that do sue because of it, not because they're conscious of their skin color. What about women that falsely sue for sexual harrassment even though it really does exist...are you going to hate all or most women because of it?
You say MLK was a great man, which is true, but you also say that his dream has been accomplished...you think if it was, this topic would be in the discussion board...i dont think so. His dream applies to not only Blacks, but ALL races and cultures like Rizzo mentioned.
