Hey ppl, im 16 and i do moderate weight lifting. 3 days a week with a day in between. I often do enough so i can feel it the next day but not to the extent that it hurts, just a bit stiff. Am i foolish?? and am i likely to get arthritis

All the indications are that it's good for you so long as you learn and follow correct form.

You'll find that your strength climbs pretty quickly and the danger is that you'll let that strength combine with youthful enthusiasm to form recklessness and go for a weight that you're not ready for with bad form. That's where the injuries tend to happen.

Concentrate on the big, compound lifts and get your form rock solid and you'll be lifting for many decades to come.

No, I think you are crazy!

You should be doing a "twice daily six day a week Arnold style competition split" working the whole body 3x a week - and Sunday for rest.

NOT!

3-4 weight training days a week is just about perfect for any age. 16 is a great age to start - and as long as you respect your body and improve your knowlege, you're only going to thank yourself later in life.

Thank u guys :). So its completely normal for me to feel a bit of stiffness the next day?? also sometimes ill get a random shoot of pain through my wrist but it only happens like once :(

also. Would i be foolish 2 keep building up?? like keep bringing the weights up after a while, or would i be better just maintaining my strength?? cus i want 2 get stronger..

Also, here is what i do..
25 kg triceps, 20 reps
35 kg triceps, 10 reps

10 kg biceps, 20 reps
20 kg biceps, 10 reps

30 kg lat pulldown, 20 reps
37.5 kg lat pulldown, 10 reps

3 kg lat raise, 20 reps
4 kg lat raise, 10 reps

Are these weights ok for my age?? i start finding them really difficuilt once i get 2 like the 28th rep with most of them
