Am I being baited or tricked?

I placed an order that's shipping via domestic USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation. It never arrived on the Expected Delivery Date. The status still read Departed (from the origin location). The next day I checked the tracking number to find it had arrived at my local post office. This morning the status read Sorting Complete and a few hours later it said Out for Delivery.

So I waited by the door and I watched the mailman stuff my mailbox... and then he just takes off. I ran to my mailbox to see if he just filled out the Delivery Confirmation pink slip, checked off Attempted Delivery, and ran off, but... nope. No pink slip.

Something doesn't feel right... First off, the expected delivery was two days ago...didn't arrive. Today it says Out for Delivery, but mailman passed on by with nothing. Do anyone think I'm being tricked into contacting the post office about this package (and by doing so, admitting the package and it's contents are mine)?

Okay... It's just I'm new to ordering gear and I've mail ordered tons of other things and nothing like this has ever happened. Plus, I read about people's orders being seized... stuff like that.

IMO you should never have anything sent to your house.....Use Mailboxes Etc. or The UPS Store or whatever it is.....

my last order was opened with the gear taped together hanging out. they must have opened the package, saw what it was and then figured it was some juicer using it for personal reasons and went ahead and delivered it

if you think the gubment gives a shit if you use steroids then you also must believe that living in the same house with a gf is gonna get you arrested too. (illegal in many states btw) , or getting a hooker etc. those types of crimes the police don't even bother with. they are more worried about serious shit unless they are really really bored and have nothing else to do

btw the USPS has nothing to do with the US government. they are a GSE, they aren't associated with the government.

all that happened here was your shit is at the post office and the postman assumes you aren't home so didn't bother delivering it to your door. what i do on days i am expecting something like that is i leave my garage door open to let the postman know yes I am home, otherwise he won't even bother walking up to the door because i live in an upper class neighborhood where everyone works 9 to 5

You're fine. It isn't intl so customs won't check it. It's not their problem. That would be the local LE's jurisdiction which they wouldn't spend the time or money on setting up a sting to bust some guy with a couple vials that's obviously for personal use. It's beginners paranoia.
